My apologies for a late update, as this artwork has been up elsewhere for a few days now! This week was a rush of finishing artwork deadlines while preparing the August delivery. But behold, for Patreon: “Even In Another Time: Part II”, a companion to August’s postcard.
Though I’m not sure how well it translates, one of the things I specifically had in mind in both of these pieces is GNC transness, and how it might translate in another time. Sadly, or happily depending on how you look at it, the nature of transness is that it doesn’t always telegraph without the presence of an exposed body or obviously incongruous traits. Thus, maybe these celebrations of trans figures remains a bit of an Easter egg.
In any case, this pair of pieces was a delight to work on, and I’d love to expand on the series sometime next year, if only because the opportunity to really zoom in and focus on historical costuming is a real treat.
Lastly, the August delivery did make it into the mail today! Hooray, hooray, hooray.
