Should I Bring Historic Content to BeamNG?
Added 2023-11-02 06:41:39 +0000 UTCWho here plays BeamNG? And would you be interested in a selection of our mods being brought to the title? We have added someone with BeamNG skills to the Authentic team, and I'm trying to see if its worth it to have them help with HSS as well.

It's a shame most people dont care for it, because beam is like the perfect game for these older non-aero cars. Of course you can't just port cars over as that game is very different but tracks would def be a good thing to start out on! Also because the game is very early access so it goes through heavy changes quite regularly, maps are most likely the easiest type of mod to manage. Most of the issues that old outdated maps ever have is missing textures. TLDR I think it would be a really good idea to invest in Beamng modding even if there is no content released to public for a long time.

2023-11-07 19:14:00 +0000 UTCWe would be very interested in working on some official content, or perhaps an official DLC pack for the game. We just finished getting 2023 North Wilkesboro into BeamNG, and I just posted a video in the HSS discord News and Updates channel.

2023-11-07 19:13:36 +0000 UTCabsolutely. I can put you in touch with some devs if you'd like. I've been involved with development here and there for the better part of a decade and there's interest in pre-war vehicles. Gabester said pre-war cars would just be a scaled down T-Series lol

2023-11-06 01:38:52 +0000 UTCYeah, unfortunately rF2 development is very expensive, with a smaller audience. Meanwhile, BeamNG is very cheap to make mods for (much cheaper then AC).

2023-11-04 00:09:59 +0000 UTCYeah, I agree. Except the BeamNG guys can't help with any of that. So its more of whether its worth the money, which I'll be honest isn't very much compared to AC development.

2023-11-04 00:09:14 +0000 UTCI wouldn't mind some rF2 content, but nah, BeamNG isn't the place for it tbh

2023-11-03 09:41:04 +0000 UTCVoted no for the moment, but would be fine with it once all current projects for AC have been developed to a releasable state. Also, not sure BeamNG is the kind of sim where vintage content would thrive whereas AC has many vintage eras that could use more content.

2023-11-02 16:11:29 +0000 UTCI believe the focus should be kept on the planned packs in AC to be released at high priority first. And finish mods that have been beta for a while. But I see potential in Rennsport and AMS2.
