1934 Grand Prix Update!

This month we are updating the 1934 Grand Prix cars each getting new brakes and a brand new 2.0 tire model (the 1934 Auto Union Type A will follow with its own separate post).

1934 Mercedes W25 (version 0.9):
1. New 3d model, a much reduced poly count for better computer performance, a resized steering wheel, and additional details (sadly the tires had to be less detailed).
2. New brake physics.
3. Completely new 2.0 tire model! The tire physics now simulate heat transferring from the brakes into the tire, it simulates a tire core, and a tire carcass.
4. New higher detailed paint skins (5 for now, more incoming).

1934 Bugatti T59 (version 0.8):
1. New brake physics.
2. Completely new 2.0 tire model! The tire physics now simulate heat transferring from the brakes into the tire, it simulates a tire core, and a tire carcass.
3. New higher detailed paint skins (11 total)

1934 Alfa Romeo P3 (version 0.85):
1. New brake physics.
2. Completely new 2.0 tire model! The tire physics now simulate heat transferring from the brakes into the tire, it simulates a tire core, and a tire carcass.

Comments

The new version has issues, especially with the new tire model. It has an update coming this weekend

A little disappointed: I have the first version of the W25 and the current one I found as if the tires were cold and with +10psi (it bounces a lot). After 10 laps I was able to be 1.8 seconds from my record in imola 72. I understand that the objective of a simulator is to recreate it as real as possible, but I also see archives of exhibitions and the pilots greet people with one hand and turn with the other. As much as the original has lost power in 90 years and has current tires witch more grip, I don't think it will be so difficult to drive it straight in reality. Anyway, I'm just a casual sim racer (name with which I had felt identified) and now I have to relearn how to drive it...
