Order of Business #1: December WIP!

I’ve been teasing it on Instagram, and now you all get a different kind of tease of December’s Postcard of the Month!

 It’s a bit of a break in tradition from the New Year’s cards that have been our December cards in the past… This year, the winter thoughts on my mind have been about our hibernal dens, the cozy places where we learn to live and thrive in the dark. The farther north I travel, the darker and colder my winters get. This year I am trying to really make the most of the idea of that private burrowing space where I am released from the obligations of the busy world and can luxuriate in the long candlelit nights, cozy in the beautiful den that I’ve made for myself.

And of course, if I had all the money in the world, this postcard depicts what that space would really look like, and though it doesn’t look like a holiday card overtly, I imagined it as an intimate celebration of the solstice. The working title in my mind was “How We Spent The Longest Night”.

December’s postcard delivery will go out to members of ALL tiers, as we celebrate the Winter quarter! 

Order of Business #2: Tier Rearrangements!

As I discussed last month, since capping the membership of this patreon earlier this year, I’ve been observing the ways that the tiers round out in order to make better decisions about how to distribute those caps. Membership in the Jolly Jackdaw tier has always remained modest and quite consistent; Crow Collectors flux, shrinking and booming; but neither can hold a candle to the way that the Raven Dandy tier bursts to the brim consistently most months. To reflect this, I’ve made some new adjustments to the tier caps, and here is where membership currently stands:

Jolly Jackdaws: 80 of a maximum 100

Crow Collectors: 263 of a maximum 300

Raven Dandies: 347 of a maximum 400

As you can see, the Raven Dandy tier, which has been at its limit for several months consecutively, now has plenty of room to join if you would like to. As just a little tease and perhaps a warning, December’s bonus card is a premium gold foil card of a brand new illustration featuring one of the MBPS’s most popular recurring characters. I certainly don’t want to jinx myself, but if you’ve been interested in joining this tier, now might be a good time!

Order of Business #3: November’s Postcards! 

This is just the notice that November’s postcard deliveries shipped yesterday! Keep an eye on your mailbox for it! And everyone give me a hearty round of applause for getting a delivery out the earliest that I ever have. :P
