Artistic cohesion: How important is it?
Added 2019-01-01 00:03:26 +0000 UTCSo. We're outsourcing a lot of art to Pocky, which has been cool, but so far it's just been silhouette characters and other "non-core" assets. Before we start diversifying the art style of our core characters—such as Rye, or the Player—we'd like to get your feedback:
It'll make game development go a bit faster... but how important is it to have everyone drawn the same way?
(For an example of Rye in Pocky's style, see below)

If it speeds up updates, I’m semi ok with it, Claudia and Suni are sexy as fuck and I don’t want them changed. Mid scenes like how Anysha(don’t know how to spell the name) is just fine with me.

2019-01-01 00:30:23 +0000 UTCI think that any establish character should be keep with the same artist unless their artstyle is very similar. New character should be given to other artist to diverse the work. Demetri only had one image and it possible to bring in other artist or whatever. Another option is if an artwork done by other artist, their assets can goes on a painting/picture frame/tv etc.
