Monthly Progress Post: What's the Haps?

So! What's up in the FutaDomWorld? 

(This post is more...autobiographical than usual. Skip down to 2 if you don't care about my meetup story and only want FDW news.)

1. FDW went to the Wicked Grounds Patreon Adult Content meetup. It was ok. 

So no shit, there I was at the in-person Patreon Porno Meetup...

Wicked Grounds is, to my knowledge, San Francisco's only combined BDSM-playspace and coffeeshop. It's a cool premise. Like, if you want to walk your submissive in on a leash in fetish gear and have them eat from the dog food bowl on the floor, that’s totally kosher and has apparently happened before. They also make coffee. 

It was really nice to talk to all the other content creators and see what they're working on. From gay superhero comics to wholesome queer BDSM, there are a lot of people doing interesting things in this space!  Also I got to practice saying FutaDomWorld out loud, which is not something I often have cause to do. 

Because so many Patreon representatives were present—and, specifically, the people who are responsible for shutting down adult content if it gets too uppity—this was an interesting opportunity to actually get in the room with the abstract entity of Patreon itself. 

The obvious salient concern for me when thinking about Patreon and the future of FDW, is "hey, how safe is our content? How likely are you to pull the plug on porn?" Their response was, as ever, "totally safe...so long as it doesn't include this list of things." 

The list is something like:   

-Real-Life Fucking

-Raffles or gambling

-Sexting

-Camshows

-Incest

-Strugglefucking 

-Extreme content

-Offensive content 

And while most of those are not of concern to us, we do depict animated fucking, and "extreme" and "offensive" are matters of taste, so I am, as ever, mildly nervous. That said, short of trying to transplant everything back to our currently-deprecated futadomworld.com website, Patreon is the clear winner, so.

2. Cool, but when's the next FDW release?

March.

In a surprise twist for our development cycle, we've actually got half the dates already playable. But releasing half the dates—and to be clear, they're not the ones that have cathartic, emotionally satisfying sodomy in them—would not be very satisfying. 

Er...would it? Would you actually prefer to play FDW one date at a time? I guess we shouldn't assume that waterfall development is what the people want. We should do a poll and see whether y'all would prefer having more frequent releases that contain, yknow, not an entire book's worth of content. 

(Rye's full path is so far 50,000 words. Lol, we accidentally a book. Again.)

So. 

Steady as she goes. We're in a middle month of our development cycle, and hearing about Xali and I writing is probably not super exciting.
