1934 Alfa Romeo P3 Public Release!

The Historic Sim Studios team is proud to release the second of our 1934-1935 Grand Prix cars for Assetto Corsa, our 1934 Alfa Romeo P3. This version of the P3 is based on specifications and historical performance from the early 1934 season.

History of the Car: 
The Alfa Romeo Tipo B ‘P3’ is a legend in motorsport. First introduced in June of 1932 at the Italian Grand Prix, the P3 was a revelation on track, and it dominated grand prix racing until 1934 when Mercedes and Auto Union unveiled what would become the new standard in the Mercedes W25 and the Auto Union Type A. The P3 is a fantastic piece of Italian engineering. It had a near 50/50 weight distribution, high torque at lower RPMs, and was an extraordinarily reliable grand prix car for the time. Italian cars are known for possessing a mixture of masterful craftsmanship and artistry, and the P3 is no different. The P3 may have won its last major grand prix race in 1935 at the German Grand Prix, but it has never been forgotten.

1934 Alfa Romeo P3 Features: 

• Historically accurate physics based upon researched data. We also have used CSP extended physics to include more accurate additional physics simulation.

• A physical tire model simulation (no longer limited to a single contact point), with RainFX support.

• Engine damage model, where the engine will gradually lose power with damage when beyond 50% of its health, then at 25% the engine will start to have throttle cuts.

• Advanced fuel consumption code.

• Finely tuned AI.

• Relied upon leafspring suspension mathematical calculations to develop a historically accurate and realistic suspension, further enhanced with CSP advanced physics code.

• Eight historically accurate paint schemes that include actual driver names.

• Custom P3 8 cylinder inline with Roots supercharger engine sounds.

• Visual tire wear & dirt buildup.

• Historically accurate brake fade simulation.

– Please remember that HSS mods require the use of Custom Shaders Patch by Ilja with Assetto Corsa to enable the advanced features. DO NOT USE CSP v0.2.3 (preview versions especially). CSP 0.2.2 preview 1, v0.2.4 preview 1, and v0.2.5 preview 1 are supported.
