We're on our Clone Wars Wednesday bullshit and we got a nearly TRIPLE HELPING THIS WEEK cause as we have been informed by the Official chronological guide via StarWars.com we are checking out the 2008 FEATURE-LENGTH FILM, The Clone Wars.
In the chronological watch this is listed as 003, and as much people have complained about this flick, we have a damn fine time with it!
Are we a lil' annoyed at Ashoka's maiden voyage, sure, but we quickly realize she's no less annoying than Anakin?
Does it feel good to be wrapped in the velvety voice of Sir Christopher Lee as Count Dookie Booty? We think so.
And Morgan is deeming Ziro the Hutt a GAY ICON FOR ALL TIME!

Admittedly, it's been rough few weeks for me. I'm honestly so glad you're covering this series right now, atla followed by the clone wars were the two key shows of my childhood that I look back on so fondly, and with you guys being my favourite reactors it's hitting at the right time, thanks guys. When I signed up to your channel at almost the beginning of atla (maybe 3rd-5th ep?). And then she’s made to go off and fight a war. That’s a lot for a kid. Idk if she had been super serious and badass from the start, instead of learning to be a badass, I think I would have liked her less

For example Samurai Jack allowed characters to get cut and bleed, and monsters to actually get dismenbered, and it was still a kids show. CN is just a lot more free and lax with stuff like that compared to Nick.

2021-09-09 10:13:28 +0000 UTCI think you said it last week and you said it here again, so i just wanna correct: CW didn't ever come out on Nickelodeon. Before Disney bought Lucasfilm, it was airing on Cartoon Network. i think they are a lot more comfortable with death on CN than Nickelodeon.

If I remember correctly, Dave said the minute he introduced a new character that was not only going to be Anakin's padawan, but also in so many episodes, he knew people were going to hate it just on principle. So in a weird way, he leaned into it. He made her first appearance and a good deal of subsequent episodes show off her brash nature, her cockiness, and just made her very annoying. Then he took those traits and began to change her into something better. It still makes for a hard watch sometimes, though. Also, I would love to see you guys eventually take a look at the 2003 Clone Wars done by Tartakovsky! The visual storytelling alone is top-notch and has so many legendary sequences that still hold up today. Loving your reactions as always!
