PRL: OverLord S1E1 Full REACTION!!

Hey hey Patrons!

We're back with Patreon Request Live!

This week on the big baller set comes from our buddy SERGIO!

This will be available exclusively on the Warden Tier for a few days then we'll release the reaction to EVERYONE in Patreon land so they can see it as well!

We're digging this super meta-structure! We're lovely the animation style!

And we're .... a little weirded out by the Scientific Boob Grab! But hey, that brings us to questions of how you would fuck a Skellington Lord!?!? And these are worthwhile questions to consider!

Follow the password-protected link to hang!

Man, this is show is just a lot of fun. Is it silly, yes. Is it horny, yup. Is it an unrealistic power fantasy, sure. And it can be dark as hell one minute and sunshine and rainbows the next. But ya know what, underneath all of that there is an actual intelligent and interesting character study. A bunch of them actually. There are so many layered characters in this show, that you could take any fraction of them and spin them off into their own series. Just in this episode, you see that Momonga is lonely, and disappointed, watching what he viewed as the best time of his life disappearing forever. If you keep watching, (and they touched on it here in two lines of dialogue, so it's not really a spoiler) you get to see that Momonga is so afraid that his companions will turn against him, or abandon him, that he has to essentially roleplay as the Overlord. He has to put on the voice, and the noble airs, and act smarter, more vicious, and more confident than he actually is, simply in order to keep up appearances. Because if he loses his subordinates, or the Tomb itself, he really has essentially lost the little bit he has left to remember his friends by. I'm hoping that's not too spoilery as-is, so I won't mention anything more. I just wanted to let you know that you guys are both spot on in how the show has a lot of potential, and how ridiculous it is at times. It's totally worth it though.

and yeah the designs here and the "scientific boob grab" as you put it are some very Anime type beats lol. until now you've more or les only watched subversive animes like Attack on Titan and the like, or pseudo-animes like Avatar, and they dont really do fanservice or any of that so seeing you guys get a full dose of Anime Flavor was so cool.

okay now this is a surprise to be sure! i remember watchin this one years ago and having a great time with it. back then it was a novel concept, but now theres tons of "isekai" anime. isekai being like a genre of someone coming to a different world and trying to survive, and usually overpowering the people around because you're like a modern person and they're medieval and so on. weirdly enough, this idea goes way back to like mark twain's "a yankee in king arthur's court".

Michelle

Amazing! Thanks for the backstory!

Fun fact this is set in the future and pollution and global warming has continued to do its business to the point you can't go outside without protective gear like breathing masks and goggles and you can't see the stars in the sky. Thats why he put so much value into all the friends he made online and kept playing the game into its final moments.
