Clone Wars Chronological E004 REACTION!!

We notice the BPE (Big Prequel Energy) of this episode feature Senator Binks and a lot of Gleep Glops talking trade routes and what not!

Also, watch as we chide this episode for featuring every kind of problematically voiced character in the series and then proceed to single-handedly torch any relations with our French and Spanish viewers not a minute later!

And we're surprised at the stakes being so REAL and at the forefront with the General Jedi Di .... uh... ahem..... living up to his name. AMIRIGHT YALL!

Clone Wars Chronological E004 REACTION!!

Comments

One thing I will say, as an adult, and knowing what i do about the problems with the character model, Jarjar has the line is this whole series that made me die the absolute most laughing. In the whole show. So, keep your eyes out for that one. This show gets really dark. This was a good opening taste. The twi’leks are one of the most enslaved races in star wars history. Just a little backstory on them as a species if memory serves me correctly. Have you watched free guy? It would be good to react to! Love it! Keep them coming!

the switches between action scenes and negotiations. its an interesting episode.

its slow to keep attentive to for sure. But its a great dive into the complexities of how hard it is for polities to whole heartedly help officially in conflict zones to help out communities. nd why the quote at the beginning speaks to what they try to convey. When i watched it perspective of prequel was not there. So it was more gripping the dialog and

Oh sure, it comes back in a big bad way with Yoda and the Clones later, but it’s still BPE all the way

also, doing like a wacky stereotype voice of a minority is not "good representation" and lucas ceirtainly didnt have to approach it like that. especially when most of these accents are coming out of white VAs doing it. anyway this doesnt really to be an argument. i was just joking about something that everyone always jokes about cause its true.

Michelle

ppl have been commenting on the racist caricatures of many of the characters featured in especially the phantom menace ever since that movie came out lol. its not an outrageous thing to point it out man. theres tons of videos and articles on that.

Michelle

I don't see how it would be racist? these are accents that people in our world have and if anything it's good that they have representation. The gungans may have an accent that Lucas created by himself but he can't do that like 20 times. He's gotta use some pre-existing stuff to make a realistic diversity.

Mathies

The reason why the political stuff on Toydaria is so heavily featured in this episode is because it's really important for the rest of the arc. Their struggle about neutrality is just as important as ryloth's battle.

Mathies

Yeah, I remember when I first watched this episode it was kinda hard to get through. Loved the stuff with the Jedi and the troops fighting to save the Twi'leks but all that trade federation talk nearly knocked me out. Plus the stuff with Jar Jar is hit or miss for me though it's clear he missed his calling and really should just be an entertainer. But I really dig the next episode and it picks up right after this one

Tenuous Pterodactyl

star wars sure does love their borderline (and sometimes not so borderline) racist accents lol. this episode was like half just that.

Michelle

Gonna fix!!!

Sean TankTop

Wasn’t the previous episode E003??

Edina Lewis

oh yeah, keep your eyes out for more really fitting names in this series. its definitely a thing.
