Like this is, for all intents and purposes, is simply cashing the Live Action check that Boba's fandom have been dying to see on screen for, hell, 40 years now. There can and prolly will be a bunch of expanded material (comics, etc) to explain why he is so massively badass now when he could barely connect a shot from 15 yards away in RotJ and got accidentally Looney Tooned into a giant vagina monster in the sand by blind guy. George has been on record saying he'd have pushed for something different with Boba, had he known how massively popular he'd be with the fanbase, but he didn't design or really conceive of Boba outside of a mens to an end in ESB and RotJ. It's the fanbase that got the Fetts involved in the prequels cause he knew it would imbue more importance on them in the larger story. Now we get to see him live up to his own reputation. It's fan service, but done incredibly well and I couldn't have enjoyed myself more.
