Well we're ending the absolute bullshit fucking year of 2020 with a really strangely perverted romp into our childhoods, not that this will be new territory for anyone watching our ATLA coverage, with a new Commentary Schmommentary!
We're covering the surprisingly dark and still goofily engrossing 1990 classic, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!
Yeah it the Turtle hideout looks cool, but how much poop is down there? Jim Henson productions oversaw the animatronics for this flick, and died a month after seeing - coincidence? And under all the dark turmoil and history, is there there a kinky, bdsm laden relationship between Splinter and Shredder?

2021-01-03 21:42:45 +0000 UTC1) this was fun, and a great nostalgia trip, thank you 2) if you haven't already, i'd recommend watching the animated film Turtles Forever. The turtles need to save the world for yet another reason, but it becomes a little bit of a meta playground of all the different incarnations of the Turtles up to that point, from the comics to the 80s cartoon to subsequent variations. You don't need to have watched any particular version to get into it (i definitely hadn't watched the more modern versions), but it's a fun, self-aware love letter to the franchise/concept itself
