Welp 2021 is starting off with a head-swirling, anxiety-ridden inversion of the world we've come to know and hold dear - so our choice for Manly Movie Monday should reflect as such with Christopher Nolan's TENET!
Seen as the movie that was gonna save the film-industry in the era of Covid, where this new twisty espionage action film AND this is Manly Movie Mondays first foray into our COVID friendly remote set up and I think it turned out pretty damn good!
Join us as Scott is enthralled but doesn't know whats going on, watch Lex ascend the smug "I've Already Seent It" catbird seat and laugh at our confusion, and see how many classic Denzel movies Sean can reference while watching his son John David show himself to be a superstar!
*** NOTE: With some of these big first run movies like WW84 and the like, we just can't risk losing our Vimeo account so we had to make the reaction video without an embedded video source! 2021-01-15 03:49:51 +0000 UTCThe opening sequence is based on an actual event. In 2002 the Dubrovka opera house was raided by 40 (50) Chechen rebels. 130 people + the 40 to 50 raiders were killed. The initial 130 died from the gas pumped into the theater. It’s estimated that an additional 70 died later from complications from the agent used. Moscow has never revealed what was in the gas and many died because they wouldn’t tell doctors what was in it. It’s still a state secret. It’s kinda up there with Chernobyl with regards to how little Russian government values it’s people. Also an amazing show if you haven’t already reacted to it. Chernobyl on HBO.

I was worried that watching it for the first time with you yappy fuckers might be a bad idea lol but it was awesome, it helps having people catch things that I don’t in a movie like this. Also, in the outro Sean you say “I’m gonna watch this again really recently” best unintentional backwards time joke ever haha.
