We are are Azula stans over here. She’s impeccably evil

Sean TankTop

Calm before the storm shit!

Sean TankTop

No we haven’t and likely won’t! Thanks for asking though!

Sean TankTop

Dude big time!!!

Sean TankTop

Thanks! We put on subtitles, I think the one thing we missed was the IMPLIED Jet death, I guess. Do yourself a favor and please just stop worrying about stuff like this in general, it's never gonna happen and we're gonna watch how we watch. Appreciate the concern. Thanks.

Sean TankTop

I know I’m late to the party, but I’m not sure if y’all got it, but when Azula is talking to the Earth King, both Mai and Ty Lee give a very subtle glance to each other

David Proby

Guys love your reactions, but you're talking when there's important dialogues! You're missing out on some good lines

Saibal Sarkar

The back bender

Sean TankTop

i second this

Isis Peoples

Papa Sokka is a SNACK!!

Isis Peoples

We'd BEEEN DONE TALKING ABOUT METAL BENDING!!! SO FUCKING COOL!!!

Sean TankTop

Azula must rank among the most uber-competent and savvy villains in fiction. I love it.

Dennis Ramirez

AH-! I love this episode, a great setup. and zuko just happily sweeping at the end Gets Me Every Time--

pollyy clunes

Dustin hit the nail on the head -- "Welcome to Daygobah." Season 2's last couple episodes are some of the best of the series, it's not an insult to say it's very much borrowing from Empire Strikes Back. If you're gonna steal, steal from the best

Patrick Boyda

Love the reactions! Have you guys ever thought about doing the two parter episodes as one video? ...or releasing both two parters videos around the same time?

I am also waiting for someone to pull the Mom Card on Zuko

PupApollo Bootblack

This is one of my top favorite episodes. Iroh isn't the only character dropping some good life advice. Loved the way Guru Patik explained how virtuous states of being can be blocked & hindered by stuff like fear & shame. Plus motherfuckin metal bending.

Gene Endiape

wish there was a patreon for patreon, so that I could watch the next episode immediately lol

terieaa

Yeah that kinda flew over our heads tbh, but yeah as far as like Definitely, on-screen deaths they are super super rare!

Sean TankTop

Since the topic of named characters getting killed off came up- Jet died a few episodes ago when they were at Lake Laogai. I know it was somewhat ambiguous the way it was presented (Nickelodean would not let them make it any more explicit), but the showrunners confirmed behind the scenes that Jet is dead.

I love that Aang chooses love over power, a perfect showcase of the humanity in him even if he is the Avatar

Jah Jah

That is well said Wes. the shit is absolutely brilliant.

I introduced my niece to A:TLA back in 2013. Prior to that...my ex-girl's little bro introduced it to me the day this episode aired in 2006. I was hooked. This show has so many amazing themes, and, yes, perhaps it borrows from everything great that came before it. But I look at it as the inspiration of art before it that leads to an incredibly original yet familiar idea. From anime, to kung-fu flicks, from star wars to (fuckit) game of thrones. This show, a show presented to kids on Nickelodeon but created by adults, holds the values of great story telling and morality tales for any generation or demographic. It truly transcends and they achieved that by combining so many elements of our culturally diverse real world, with a fictional and highly symbolic relatable fantasy epic. There is a reason that it is often copied but never imitated because A:TLA is a one of kind thing that gets passed down for years to come and all to enjoy. Heed it's everlasting wisdom.

Wesley Chapman

you got a chuckle outta me!

Sean TankTop

yeah, he's a bit of a boob. I was prolly just super frustrated that Coochie Gang was just CAREEEENING into a huge W

Sean TankTop

ah man i kinda hoped you guys would put the whole two-parter out all at once. but this is good stuff anyway. also i like the little fan thingy morgan has. very appropiate for the sentiment of 2020.

Michelle

gee, zuko doesn't look so good.....must be some teen "aangst"..........get it? no? nobody? great chat guys

Louie Mbarkeh

I’ve always wondered if the guru was the one Aang was supposed to train with before he ran away. In The Storm episode, the monks said Aang would be sent away to the eastern air temple (where the guru was) to complete his avatar training. But Aang ran away before he could go. So maybe guru pathik was waiting all this time to train Aang ??? Since he knew monk gyatso, he was alive back then too.

Julie Lee

When Guru Pathik says "I was a spiritual brother of your people and a personal friend of Monk Gyatso", Gyatso was Aang's mentor, so that's just an interesting connection there. So excited for y'all going into season 3!!!

Aidan Pullen

They really pull a ton of cards from empire strikes back in this finale lol you guys are not the first to notice! Also hella excited for next week and then season 3, esp for a specific spooky episode 😈

Rodrigo Borges

for real tho!

Sean TankTop

That dog is living its best life. It looks so happy.

Kingsley

This “kids show” has shown me more about life and the human condition than all my years in public education that is f****** embarrassing

Legal Mexican

Oh shit I was just watching a video about avatar when I got this notification lol! it has some spoilers (really quick) but when atla aired they would play these bits in between commercial breaks showing sifu kisu kind of choreograph the bending and it was so cool! they broke down each bending and its inspiration and this newer video just came out if you wanna check it out after the series :D excited to hear ur reactions to this episode! I think the original was called creating the legend https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJ86QWzI2Wo
