My dad suffered from insomnia off and on for a few years, and he'd start hallucinating after a while due to lack of sleep. Personally, I'm in love with this episode because of that creepy dream where Toph has no eyes and the fight between Appa and Momo.

But also...this episode is when instead of someone constantly trying to tell you "its not a kids show" -Nickelodeon gives the creator's of the show a few studio notes and tries to remind them "it's a kids show."
