2021-06-12 17:42:11 +0000 UTCI think the pedigree of British actors is pretty crazy and they are technicians and detail-oriented, whereas American actors are very very method and really wanna lose themselves and be "alive" and immersed in the role, that doesn't give way to a lot of detail, and accents are a big part of that. And Wunmi is just supremely talented and can volley between any of them, she got cut mostly from the movie, but I totally forgot she played an African immigrant in Batman vs Superman, and it was flawless, so she can do it all! I like her tough beat cop approach and hope they funnel her into a good amount of the story!

I didn't even recognize Wunmi Mosaku in the first few episodes of Lovecraft Country because she was so convincingly American. I'd seen her in Black Mirror and The End of the Fucking World before but she gives off a completely different vibe in her American roles.
