2022-06-29 02:49:39 +0000 UTCIn addition to the explanation about Grisha, where he came from and how the two nations are different, we also get to see the origin of so many familiar titans that have been peppered throughout the 3 seasons to this point. So many of them were from Grisha's group of revolutionists, including the one that Sean picked up on that played a big part at the end of season 2. It's really good storytelling.

I don't say that mockingly, but I have seen some reaction channels watch these episodes and my god, the historical illiteracy is kinda painful sometimes lol. I mean, the Eldians wear armbands with a STAR PATTERN on them. Literal concentration camps and dialogue about exterminating their race. AOT really takes inspiration from some very serious real world historical moments and themes and it's a real missed opportunity to see some people miss these things.
