Attack on Titan S4E3 Full & Uncut REACTION!

Hey hey Patrons!

We're attacking these Titans and having a great time and also VERY VERY suspicious of damn near everything!

We get some flashback stuff with Annie and the younger crew and Morgan moves further and further into #TeamBird !!

Finding out his motivations stemming from his father and seeing Reiner's further disillusionment of the Marleyan cause is really powerful!

And we finally get a super detailed breakdown of the Titan's abilities and it's one thing to speculate but to see it so clearly laid out is a damn huge rush!

And THIS GUY's GOTTA BE EREN RIGHT?!?

Follow this exclusive link to hang!

***COMMENT NOTES: We have shot the entire show and are completely caught up so let any non-magna spoilers fly in the comments! Thanks guys!

An incredible episode! GONNA MAKE A POST FOR EVERYONE TO SHOUT OUT SUGGESTIONS AND WE START TO FIGURE OUT WHAT WE WILL COVER NEXT!!

Attack on Titan S4E3 Full & Uncut REACTION!

Comments

Really enjoyed all your reactions! Reiner's backstory is so tragic. His words from S2 Ep6 "We were just kids, we didn't know anything..." really hits different now. As far as the scene where he's contemplating suicide, I don't think he was considering anything from a strategical point of view. I believe he was only feeling immense guilt and that his realization that he could still be there for Gabi/Falco/Udo/Zofia ("That's right, I still have those guys...") and prevent them from experiencing a similar hell of a life was the only thing that kept him from taking his life.

Russell Gambardella

Even when they show Kruger(eren) toss the baseball, half the manga community still thought Zeke wasnt a traitor. And they had a month in between each chpater to dissect the story. Its not surprising at all that they didnt guess each and every twist. Most people dont. (I predicted tho because im built different)... But thats besides the point lol

jblakk

I prolly will

theres a parallel shot way back from season 1, annie getting food and reiner and bert where in shot with crowd when armins monologue kicks in . so their first appearance wasn't the training but way before that isayama sneaked in some shots that paralel this episode where we also see the trio mikasaerenarmin in a shot together (when annie wakes up and find themselves in refugee, a ws shows the paradis trio before cutting back to the marleyan warrios- this is also reflective when eren in Season 1 ep 2 wakes up and looks in the crowd and in the next shot is annie lining up for food.) just some trivial sht things like these are scattered throughout th series thats why i enjoy the reacts as ive seen the series so many times and everytime it gives somthing, may it be trivial like what i just said or bit more profound (like how isayama used a lot of generational trauma be it in family Unit or humaniys war mongering as a whole -still amazes me that an artist in japan delivers and addressees things like war and western audience esp from america wathces it, and its not been long ago that the pearl harbour and hiroshima nagasaki occurred(bill wurtz reference anyone?). and the whole paradis and marleyan. axis vs allies themes. are definitely there. (and ww1 also definitely some nordic references too) weve seen a lot of adaptation for wars etc but these series encapsulates how one can feel about it and definitely open up discussions dialogue etc... so yeahheres to hoping the series longevity isn't because were bound to repeat shit but a decent reminder (or is warning? i mean there's bound to be an eren from all the war for profit guise as war on drugs/terrorrist aka devils and all the recent shtshw that happened in ukraine too. ) all hail to the author, a madman isayama .

if its there first anime then its reasonable, not many can catch on to japanese actors tone subtleties when reading in english language , most native english speakers might not pick on tone and put meaning on direct translation than scratching the surface a bit more (headvoice will be reading and the emphasis or subtle voice actor might sound different to the audience than intended, or could work as just the same with subs) for eg last season, when zeke did the inner monloglue and first time we see him get pissed off at the scouts suicide charge, the whole time zeke the audience might be thinking what a dickhead for saying all these stuff while baseball killing them, so its probably by design with a few in your face but subtle hints that zeke think hes on the right and jst had to do it. cbf explainin but his pity speech can definitely be seen as a subtle hint to build into his characters reason to do shit

"this will be explained" in couple ep forward. falco goes to check on reiner and have an internal monologue why reiner wasn't regenerating as usual with the 'power of titians' and that is because of the will to live is not there anymore. ...so hulk theory ain't it . sorry but isayamma has his way to answer these questions , so if you aren't caught up with anime this be a spoiler for you

Going back and watching season 2 scenes with Rey-near I think they hit so much harder after seeing this episode. Also Sean fyi the Blu-Ray version of season 4 has updated animation and art improvements. If you combine that version along with official subtitles I think you might have a completely new experience with it. Just throwing the info out in case you decide to rewatch before Season 4 part 3 comes out. Great reaction as always.

The Quadfather

It's interesting that you guys thought Zeke was a true zealot up to this point, I always felt a bit suss about him because he was so reserved and he kinda pitied the people on Paradis in S3

Faeginn

Reiner still has 4 years left. Porco told him "If I had inherited the Armored 9 years ago, none of this would've happened."

Blaise

he might of died since you only transform or heal if you have the will to live just like the founder Ymir died of speaker

alexander rios

It's great to hear you're all caught up! Really can't wait to see your reaction to memories of the future.

this is so funny. the minute i heard yuki kaji's voice i was like, yup. that's eren. reiner and the warrior's backstory always makes me upset. they were babies when they had to first break wall maria

amberrr

Wow, you guys are completely caught up? Nice.

Saynt Michael

Mainly Porco since he wanted to become a warrior. In hindsight probably both, even if Reiner didn't see it that way back then, as he kept asking Porco why he apologized. Definitely affected his confidence.

Dancing Viru

although incredibly dark imagine if he did shot himself, but fucked it up and missed anything important in his brain just enough to live and then he woulda transformed and just like, have to live with that awkwardness, like just another more moment to reiner's endless suffering lol

Michelle

to answer your question sean yes if reiner woulda actually shot himself then yes the armor just goes to whoever. You have to eat the shifter alive, to get their power. Tho honestly i'm not even sure if the shot would have actually killed him. It's like a Hulk situation, whever Bruce Banner wants to just like, off himself Hulk stops it by transforming. Maybe if direct enough to the brain?

Michelle

Ooooh I see, but then the question is, who did he betray? Reiner or Porco?

Maia Brodsky

I'm assuming this is about Marcel going behind his brother's back by influencing the military's decision, to ensure he lives longer than 13y.

Dancing Viru

Oh damn, now I'm wondering whose betrayal you were talking about. I'm wracking my brains and I can't think of who it is.

Maia Brodsky

a flub on spelling. took it out.

Sean TankTop

Just read the summary - Porco's betrayal? Who did he betray?
