2022-02-24 22:20:54 +0000 UTCIt doesn't even really make any sense to kill him off for shock value, they created a ton of new show-only Witchers for this season, characters that never existed in the books, they could have killed any of those random new Witchers instead of Eskel, and it would have had the same shocking impact for TV-watchers, while not upsetting book readers and people who've played the games, it's such a shortsighted decision that I just can't understand.

2022-02-24 20:20:39 +0000 UTCim pretty sure they only killed him off because they wanted to kill off a character people would recognize but not affect the plot too much. after all in the books eskel is just a minor character, hes mostly know for his version in the videogame. and i hate that type of writing, kill off inconsequential characters just for shock or woah moments from the audience tbh.
