This one has it all: the feels, fights and frights (RIP Butter Beard Brian aka OG Joel)!
This show basically queue's up almost all its of strengths!
Quickly establishing characters we care about effectively? Check.
Escalating really well-staged action set pieces with a good balance of horror? Definitely.
Do we get our hearts ripped out by yet another group of characters that we are introduced to and then taken away in an especially tragic fashion? Fucking absolutely.

Sean dead on with all the calls this ep! There were even lil shroomers in the underground area in the game too. Creepy as fuck because they were smarter than the average ones and would hide from you and jump out only when you got close. Shows that us gamers don't have all the answers on this, since I was expecting that and none of the Kathleen/mushroom horde hole stuff.
