First is his speech to Sasha in her backstory episode about how we must sometimes give up our selfish ways of life in order to assist our communities and fellow human beings. His speech in this episode about the forest is the other. In the first couple of seasons this show has some major fascistic, jingoistic vibes-- but Mr. Braus drops that wisdom and you are assured those ain't the themes you're supposed to glean from this shit. I don't know how the comic ends-- but imo, with what we've got so far, the story's theming is a masterful bait and switch!
