The Last of Us S1E1 Full & Uncut Reaction!

Hey hey Patrons

We back and WE DONE GOT A NEW SHOW AND IT FUCKING MADE SEAN CRY IN THE FIRST 25 MINUTES!

Oy. You know what it is y'all, it's The Last of Us and it is SOOOOO cool to see this show get things moving with some of the more tense and heart-wrenching scenes we've seen in a good long while!

Pedro continues to crush it as a grizzled, emotionally scarred dad who has to accompany an adorable child on a perilous journey!

The opening really gets to us and shows what the show is capable!

And we're loving this hot af super badass post-apocalyptic power couple in Joel and Tess!

We will never look at bags of shit old ladies or mushrooms ever again...

this game is the sole reason i bought a PS4. i LOVE how they expand on the beginning of the game. nico parker (sarah) did such an incredible job, you fall in love with her and then we (and joel) lose her. im so stoked to see what happens in the show. i never wanted a shot for shot copy for the show, because i can just play the video game. happy to join yall on this journey!!!

You know what they say about zombie apocalypses, it makes everyone a FUNGAI.

Never played the game, but heard a lot of good things about it and vaguely knew that it was some twist on a zombie apocalypse story with Lone Wolf and Cub-esque surrogate father / daughter protagonists. I really enjoyed this premier! On reflection / rewatch, the plot, premise, and even characters each kind of felt like one recognizable trope after another being played straight (one notable exception is that something about the Joel/Tess relationship did feel fresh), but they were consistently executed *so well* that I was still thoroughly invested in the story and especially in these characters. Fantastic performances, solid writing, and great production value have it feeling like more than the sum of its parts -- really looking forward to checking in on this every week. Great reaction and analysis!

Is fullmetal alchemist like on bi-monthly schedule lmao?

Oh let's go. Saw this last night. It was great. I've played the last of us twice. There was a lot of stuff that was from the game that was in it. They made some of the small stuff from the game better for the show. And they also showed us other characters perspectives that we wouldn't have seen which is pretty cool.
