The Legend of Vox Machina S2x4 Full Reaction!

Hey hey Patrons!

We're back on it with another VOX MACHINA and the last one with TOON DRASES we swear!

But this is a great one!

So, as we sorta felt, we get Vex back nearly immediately and that's totally fine!

But we now have this really fascinating spirit tether Lasso of Truth-looking thing that's been disconnected from Vax!

AND my dude has been leveled the fuck up by an Angel of Death or SOMETHING! She looks creepy, but the abilities and the new cloak are mega sick!

Follow this exclusive link to hang!

We got Death Note & Secret Invasion Finale dropping tomorrow!

The Legend of Vox Machina S2x4 Full Reaction!

Probably dating myself, but did anyone else think the Purvon - Vax fight had shades of Wizards (1977 - Ralph Bakshi animated movie)?

Can't recommend it enough, Calamity had me near in tears while I was at work.

The armor belonged to Purvan Suul, the previous champion of the Matron of Ravens, not her siblings. I highly recommend watching a 10-min vid called “Exandria: An Intimate History,” which is a brief history lesson that explains how this world was created, what’s up with the gods, and what’s the Matron’s deal. It’s non-spoiler and gives a lot of context for the discussions of the gods and events like the Calamity. If that tickles you, there’s a four-part live-play mini-series (Roughly 20 hours) called Exandria Unlimited: Calamity featuring some of the voice cast, DM’d by Brennan Lee Mulligan, a fantastic DM who is known for Dimension 20 and College Humor, and other guests. It’s set 1,000 years before Vox Machina but tells a dark tale of the tragic events that shaped the world we see in the series. It’s the best live-plus D&D you’ll ever see, with high production values and a relatively self-contained narrative; it’s a great way to dip into watching live play.

If you are going to be the Champion of the Goddess of Death and Fate, you can't very well fight against that now, can you? Vax's confusion and the watchers' confusion are lock step in this by design. They do some, but not a lot, of hand holding/narration in this show, which is a breath of fresh air. They drop a line and don't repeat it. It probably isn't something you will record, but there are some great live play/LoVM scene side by sides that are really well done. The one for Vex's death and revival have a lot of line for line re-enactments. That they improved these in the moment and the lines stood up well enough for the show is just so cool.

Awesome reaction and discussion! I laughed WAAAAYYY too hard at the "Bush of Tarth" joke, then when I looked up I met Toon Dustin's eyes as he's staring into my soul like I owe him money. I may need to increase patreon tier. o.O
