The Legend of Vox Machina S2x12 Full Reaction!

Comments

The way the show was released for seasons 1 and 2 was in three episode chunks. Also Travis (aka Grog) likes watching the reactions of people who never watched the stream cause he has referenced a few when Critical Role does their watchalongs.

I love that they give us a clue to Yenan's revelation if you look carefully. You mention that you liked seeing "a mole on the inside" of the Chroma Conclave. If you go back and look at Yenan from previous episodes, compared to this one, there is a very prominent feature that is missing from the character in this episode - a mole. Also, if last year was any indication, we can expect to hear them announce the release of next season during their upcoming panel at New York Comic Con. They usually have those on their YouTube page a week or two after the conventions. NYCC is the 12th through the 15th.

Once you guys checked and made the connection of who Raishan was (which, if she was going to stick in anyone's head, I think it would be as "The Cree Summers Dragon") it sounded like you have a pretty good handle on a *lot* of the lore / story they've thrown at you so far -- and there is a shit ton of it to try to take in on a single watch-through, as you said. This season felt stronger than the first (which I also enjoyed, but as a Critical Role fan I went in very biased), with a better balance of holding true to the campaign at its core, but also making changes where they made sense to work better as a show/series. Yeah, they over-used death / near-death cliffhangers, but when adapting from the campaign (with its D&D healing/resurrection magic and abilities) I'm honestly not sure which one I would have cut, either. Love your "Vax is a Born Again Raven Queenian" running gag this season, and now I wanna see the fully-funded Dr. Anna Ripley Department of Science and Technology. Can't wait for the new season of the show and of these reactions early next year!

Rules time lol Scanlan was casting the Polymorph spell he did it in season 1 when he transformed into the triceratops. It was the spellscroll he found which taught him the spell. Which is how he was able to turn into the dragon fly. Now for Keyleth the druids wildshape ability is strictly for beasts, and dragons don't fall under beasts in dnd. Now for her fire elemental form its a higher level druid ability where she can transform into fire, earth, water, and wind elementals.

Loved the reactions!!! To clarify dragons of different colors don't work together. They are solitary creatures with the exception of the blue dragons but they do come together to mate. But that's traditional dnd dragons so I've no idea what thordak is doing with the gold. And I've watched the game.
