2024-08-13 00:38:11 +0000 UTCI love Tyrion freeing the dragons. Varys' actor Conleth Hill is such an understated king of this show. Yes he gets so many cool interactions and lines but when Tyrion is descending into the dollar store dragon pit, look at his face. Throughout the series I don't think I have seen him look more concerned than at that moment, watching his only real friend do something profoundly stupid. Such a good actor. In the books one of rumors of why Tyrion was born a dwarf, why he had like a white streak and other "deformities" was that The Mad King had raped Tywin's wife, and Tyrion was the result of that. That would make Tyrion blood of the dragon. It never goes anywhere in the books or in the show. Dany's dragons are of a different temperament and were raised differently that the HOTD and older era, so none of it really need to match up. However, after HOTD and seeing the dragon seeds and how the rider and dragon bond, I feel like the writers were doing a little allusion to that unresolved rumor from the books. Seeing as how George hasn't gotten there in the books, it is possible his version makes it happen. Theon has such an amazing arc through the series, even just in the last season with Sansa that he entirely won me back. I am rooting for that dirt bag in every scene; he has been through enough. Davos is a real homie. He doesn't give up on anyone. He hates Melisandre but he'll still rock up to her and be like "Do some magic you asshat, we need something" He still doesn't know what Meli did to Shireen though.
