I was a bit iffy about the show after the first couple of episodes, but I watched it again while I was sat in my van with a co-worker and we watched it together without our critical lenses on and we were like "wait, is this actually good?" We finished it in like 2 days aha. Whole series is a solid 8/10 for me, it hits all the right beats, it just streamlines Season 1 and rearranges things up in a way that makes sense. There's a specific line that Katara says when Aang see's Gyatso's body and goes into the avatar state for the first time, I was a bit peeved they didn't include it but honestly they put it in a perfect spot. LOVE IT. Really cool that they gave past Avatars a bit more agency in the story too. Literally my only problem with the show was Sokka's dad actually having flaws lmao
