The fact that her uncle immediately tries to convince her to take a vacation when they talk in private afterwards confirms that her cousin was directed to talk to her imo. I think Oz was 100% right that they are trying to quietly take her out, or at least remove her from Gotham.

2024-10-05 22:06:52 +0000 UTCI read the scene with the cousin as the cousin was either A) just being fake nice but once her kid showed up she pulled her close to keep her away from Sofia showing she really is scared of her. or B) She was told by the bosses to get Sofia out on a trip away from everyone to either just get away or to take her on a "permanent vacation". Then once again when the kid shows up she tries to protect her from Sofia and Sofia notices it.

That's such a fun and funny detail that most shows wouldn't even think to do. So far this show is proving it has class. It is a contender. It's somebody, instead of a bum, which is what it's not, let's face it.

2024-10-04 04:34:12 +0000 UTCThere's the comment on the YouTube video for this about the interaction with Sofia and Carla at the social gathering after the funeral. I felt the same way as they did. Carla mentions the Lake Como experience. Sofia is socially awkward during that conversation about reminiscing. When Carla's daughter shows up and Sofia takes notice, Carla pulls her daughter closer to her. Then you see Sofia's entire demeanor change. She is wide eyed and has her confidence back. Everything Sofia says is direct and has a scary time to it. She kind of indirectly threatens Carla about the perilous situation of women in that family. Then at the end Luca mentions the same thing about Sofia leaving to be safe in "Lake Como." At that point you can put two and two together and both conversations were intentionally designed to plant the seed to get her out of the equation and the families business.
