We got yer fave wang gobblin’ Turbo Granny back and even tho olg girl is definitely a lot we seem a bit more out of the problematic Alien woods of last episode!
And the editing and sound design is so damn sharp in this episode (especially with moment of silence right before and the Alien punch we cut to them running and screaming)!
A real strong one and soooo much more the vibe we want from the shows

This is the first episode where I started to notice the baseball references in this show. Momo does the umpire, "you're safe" motion after Ken/Okarun walks through the gate. Then the alien that is part sumo is wearing what looks like a baseball umpire mask and old school striped umpire uniform. It's a nice touch that may go unnoticed. The cool thing is that there's more to come in the upcoming episodes.

2024-11-18 08:36:58 +0000 UTCMan it's always so interesting hearing the opinions of people who aren't SUUUUUPER well versed in anime(that isn't meant to be a dig). Like me, for instance, sees someone flying back from the air pressure caused by something really big or really powerful swinging their arms and I think, "Yep, pretty standard." But seeing it be kind of novel for someone else is really cool. It gives me a similar feeling to when I first started really getting into anime and it's a lot of fun. This show is a lot of fun and I'm sooooo glad we get to move away from all the weirdness of episode 1.
