Thank you to my Patrons!
Added 2018-05-07 23:26:15 +0000 UTCI will be giving you a progress report when I am off work this week, but I just left the computer store. As you all know, I constantly reinvest your investments to buy models and now that you are graciously keeping me stable around $1,000, I went to the store and I am having a new rig built for me. It should drastically decrease the render times I face in Daz! So, I wanted to thank you all for this! This means I can produce my work faster- which means more entertainment for all of you!
For those interested in the specs:
CPU: Core I7-8700 4.6 GHz
Graphics Card: Two (2) of the Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti 11GB
RAM: Four (4) of the DDR4 16 GB 2666 MHz PCL Premium (64 GB total)
Hard Drive: SSD Samsung 2 TB 850 EVO
I don't pretend to know all about this, but it costs a little under $7,000, I intend to use this patron money to pay it off in under a year! So, thank you again- my machine will be ready to render at a very fast rate! I cannot thank you all enough, and as always, please try and share my Patreon info in your fetish circles! The more investors I have the faster I can produce for you!

Well, I felt like everyone supporting me, deserves to have their money used in a way that benefits them all. Trust me, there's plenty of 'me' stuff I would like to get... a new bowler, or a nice tie, or even a new suit made- the list goes on. However, this works for us all! Just another step towards making this a career! But, I definitely know where you are coming from!

2018-05-08 19:04:02 +0000 UTCI built my own computer (mega gaming nerd here) Wish I could spend that much money on it but it works perfectly for gaming at the moment so I'm content. Funny though how I'll spend money on computers without a second thought and everything else I refuse to spend

2018-05-08 18:22:01 +0000 UTCI don't know much about computers, myself. Before having it built, I did research, but discovered that a large amount of what I found was opinionated or bias. The place I went, PC Laptops (I live in Utah), are known for their honesty and have lifetime warranties on all parts and labor under any conditions. I went in and told him I did not want his opinion on anything, but needed the fastest machine his company was capable of selling a consumer. He is using all commercial grade parts, and this was the system we built together. This system should last me 5 years to a decade depending on the Daz 3D tech changing, and if any of it breaks down at all, ever, it will be promptly fixed for free, forever. The question about the Hard Drive is that I told him that my current set up was annoying me, and that I wanted more on board memeory (my Daz models currently take up more than a single TB). 2 TB will easily allow me to have all my models and the only video game I own (it's called World of Warcraft- which I had to delete the alpha/beta test I was in AND delete my actual game as well to fit all the models on my PC). So with 2, I should also be good for a very long time. In other words, you folks in vest in me, and I invested in something that will be a large return on your investment. Namely, no worry of anything breaking down and fast render speeds. All your other questions are over my head, but I do know what hard drives are.

2018-05-08 18:00:18 +0000 UTC7000$!? From your specs I'm guessing half of it is coming from the RAM and the 2 1080Tis. I know a bit about PC, not much but enough to wonder why do you need a 2TB SSD and not went with a smaller one plus a big HDD used as storage? Also I wonder why a i7-8700 if you're mostly doing rendering and work related stuff and not went with something with more core like AMD's Threadripper? Sure enough maybe your programs aren't compatible or have some quirks under AMD but that doesn't change the core count part? I always had been under the impression that for rendering more core was always better.
