Anyone read/write Japanese?

Well, my reasoning for asking a human rather than that Google contraption is that I have witnessed non English speakers that make games use it and... Let us just say they do not always sound correct in their grammar. I believe thanks to a patron that I have the right symbols to express my meaning. Thank you, however, for the suggestion. Most kind.

I have my Hiragana and Katakana down and have for the last year study Joyo kanji which mean everyday kanji which is the common Chinese characters used in Japanese writing. Just because I can read it doesn't necessarily mean I can understand it, I must study more.
