The path towards a "finish" can become muddled and lost among all the potential directions one might take. Perhaps due to indecision, this one sat unfinished for nearly a year; rough around the edges.
I revisited it later with no fear of cutting and trimming details which added no value. My mindset was a matter of "what can I salvage here?" Ultimately it didn't need much more work, just a clear mind.
