Gangs like the Raffen Wraiths cycle through leaders like cheap toilet paper. Killing leaders won’t do much. You need to leave a lasting impression of FAFO. That is unless they have some powerful and charismatic leader(s) currently (which I doubt).

Before the adoption of public international law, pirates and slavers were generally held to be beyond legal protection and so could be dealt with by any nation, even one that had not been directly attacked. If enemy to mankind then easy answer. Surveillance of wraith bases, find mines etc, location of defenses, key people, and any loot/ slaves. Create a bunch drones to take out security, sniper and heavy weapons to hit squirters, something like a slicer/net runner drone to jam comms. Then go in and mop up. Max smoke and flash bang, if you have drones that can feed data without being effected by the above. Do not forget sensor security surrounding base so your force is not surprised in turn. Plan 2: Nomads are their cars, cars are their life. Start surveillance find every car/vic, build a bunch of flying hunter killer drones, with an attack on the engine/hood. As soon you finish your recon, hit every Wraith vehicle you can at the same time. Plan2 addendum , attack on Wraith logistics fuel, food, and water. Now you have Wraiths without vehicles and items necessary for serving desert life. Plan 2b: Contaminate wraith fuel sources to plug fuel lines Contaminate water and food with super laxative, bio agent or food poisoning, that has a longer lead time. Stroll in to Wraith camp when everyone has pants down around their ankles and is simultaneously doing a continuous technicolor scream and ballistic ass piss. Collect bounties on indisposed Wraiths, bring in looting teams.” Do you want to save any prisoners/slaves? Do you want loot? That will change conditions for your raid on the Wraiths. Ensure to leave some kind of overwatch on Wraith bases afterwards. To see who investigates, and possible lead to more Wraiths to attack. Plan 3: Softer persuasion, flying drone that is a mine dispenser . Enough drones to cover Wraith camp with mines. Drone crashes/ lands into position. Flashing lights and sirens announce, “This is a bomb- You have made people very mad, time to play a game! Run Wraith Run”!- detonation in 3 minutes, 2 minutes and 59 seconds, 2 minutes and 58 seconds….. Ask your AI for help on the broadcast to cause mass panic. If the Wraiths shoot at the drone , Mines distribute early. Include something like the tiny crab assassin droid from StarWars with the mines. programmed to disable wraith vehicles and harass the Wraiths. Scatter them and do not let them rest until they are a few states over.

Either do nothing or do it big and flashy to makes sure the message « don’t mess with us » stick…

2024-10-05 16:46:34 +0000 UTCSo, imo a good response would need to send a clear message, and meet other objectives e.g. hit a few bases, kill the raiders who are there and loot everything. When leaving ensure they leave a mark or sign of some kind to ensure anyone who goes there afterwards can tell why they were taken out. - this sends the message, vents some anger and gets loot to expand supplies and vehicles.

2024-10-05 16:07:58 +0000 UTCThe reason for the initial attack was that the OG leader of the group was killed, and the new leader wanted to lead a raid, maybe to cement their position as the new leader. So, assuming the MC wants to avoid more attacks, taking out the current leaders may just cause more issues as others will step up. Stealth also runs the risk of you being too stealthy, and no one realises who the message is from. In my mind, that only leaves explosion or base burning, explosions could send a potent message, but depending on the delivery system, it may draw the wrong kind of attention (if the delivery system could threaten AVs corpos may care)
