This top wasn't made to be opened like this, but I was able to use Daz's built-in geometry editor to pull it off.

Yep. I used geometry editor to create a left half and a right half. The right half (from her perspective) contains the loops for the clasps and the left half contains the metal nubs that the loops go over. D-formers were then used to pull the each half to the side a bit.
