Alicila awoke the following day to a pounding sound at her door. “Hello in there. You overslept. Come on out.” She blinked her eyes open but could only see dark lines. “Hey.

You only paid for one night, and that is over. Get on out of there.”

She raised her head but immediately bumped her head.

“Oww.” Alicila shook her head, her dark hair covering her eyes. “What is going on?”

“Wake up. Come on.”

She lowered her head and blinked.  What is going on? How did I get into a sitting position?

“Ok fine. I have to check on some other people, but when I get back, you better open this door.” She heard the person outside her room stomp off.

Alicila looked around. “Ugh, what is going on? Did I fall out of my bed or something?” She suddenly noticed her foot covering the door. “What is going on?” She pushed her body back, and she felt her bed snap beneath her thighs in the process. “Oh goodness, what is going on?” She pressed her right arm against the wall, which buckled under the presser. “How did everything get so small? What did they do to me?”

Alicila hit her head on the ceiling as a knock came at the door. “Ok, time for you to leave.”

“Sorry. I can’t.”

The door under her foot shook. “This isn’t a game. Come out of there or else.”

“I mean it. I am not decent.” She looked down at the stretched clothes on her body. “You don’t want to see a woman who is getting dressed, do you?”

“Don’t’ try that one on me.” The man on the other side of the door grunted. “What is going on here? What do you have propped up against the door?”

Alicila slid her foot against the door. “Umm, you wouldn’t believe me if I told you.”

“Well, move it, or I will have you arrested by the town guard. You have five minutes.”

Alicila gulped.  What am I supposed to do?
