Pink Moon Rises

Pink Moon Rises.

Samantha put her hands on her knees and took a deep breath in. “Phew. I should not have taken that detour.” She looked up and blinked her amber eyes. “I am not sure I know where I am.” She reached into her pocket and pulled out her phone. “And no cell reception either? Really?” She sighed and swiped through the phone menus. “I am in the middle of the city. What kind of new-fangled crap plan is this?”

She sighed and slid her phone back into her jeans pocket. “I will worry about it later. I am sure if I keep jogging, I will find someplace that looks familiar.” She shook her pale arms. “Just work through the pain.” Her sweat fell to the pavement. “Yes, work through it.” She took a deep breath and continued down the dirt trail.

“Shesh, this park is much larger than I thought.” She turned her head and watched the massive oak trees pass by. “I should take some time to explore this place more. Get to know my new home town.”

She looked up at the darkening sky. “Though I should start to try and find my way back.” Samantha narrowed her eyes. “What is that?” She slowed her pace as she noticed a strange sight emerge through the trees. Glowing blue and pink lights shot through the trees as a small store slowly appeared. “That is strange. I didn’t know anyone would set up shop all the way out here.” The door opened as she approached and an elderly woman in a fur coat walked towards Samantha.

“Well, hello there. I see you have fine tastes to come to an establishment like this.” She took a slight bow before walking past Samantha and down the trail.”

“Umm, hello.” Samantha scratched at her dark hair. “Well, that was ummm that, I guess.” She turned her head back towards the store. “I wonder what they sell here.” She stepped into the doorway, the smell of lavender greeting her. “Hello?”

A woman with gleaning blue eyes appeared from behind one of the counters. “Hello and welcome to the Moonlight Reststop. Come on in.”

Samantha tugged at her arm as she walked into the store. “What kind of place is this?”

The strange woman smiled as she adjusted her blue and pink uniform. “We just sell things to the people who come this way through the park. Refreshments, trinkets, and such.”

Samantha walked up to read the nametag on the woman’s breast. “And why the strange name for your store, umm Vess.”

She laughed and shrugged her shoulders. “Well, we have strange hours, so I thought since we are more open at night, why not call ourselves the Moonlight Reststop. Help the people who travel through the park when they need it.” She turned around and started to clean one of the counters. “People around here are thankful.”

Samantha put her hands into her pockets. “I bet. Do you have a map?” She pulled out her phone. “My cell doesn’t get reception in this part of town.”

Vess turned around. “Of course, we have a map. Follow me.” They went down a few aisles to the back of the store, where Vess grabbed a parchment of paper. “Here you are. One genuine map.”

“Thank you.”

“While you are here, can I get you anything else?”

Samantha looked at a strange pink bottle behind her. “What is that?”

“Ah, that.” Vess walked over and grabbed the can. “It is our new energy drink. Moonlight Rise. It is sure to help you stay up and away during those long night runs in the park.”

Vess held the bottle in her hand. “Well, by the time I get home, it will be well past ten p.m.”

“If you are buying the map, I can include this free. Part of you being a first-time customer.”

Samantha tapped her fingers on her side. “Sure, why not.”

Vess smiled and clasped her hands together. “Perfect. Now meet me over by the register, will you?” Samantha followed Vess over to a gold vintage register. “So that will just be ten bucks for the map and your free Moonlight Rise.”

Samantha reached into her back pocket and pulled out her wallet. “Here.” She pulled out a ten-dollar bill. “Happy doing business with you.”

“Not as happy as I am. I will see you soon.” She winked, and her dark bangs fell in front of her face.

“Huh?”

Vess smiled. “Oh, nothing. Enjoy the rest of your night.”

Samantha forced a smile and walked out the door, shutting it behind her. “Happy to be out of there.” She quickly ran down the road, over a nearby hill, and out of sight of the strange shop. She ran for a bit longer until she found a bench. “Finally.” Samantha sat down and put her head into her lap. “That was an experience. Phew.” She took a deep breath. “But at least it is over. That Vess woman creeped me out.

Samantha shook her head. “Now what?” She looked at the strange drink in her hand. “I guess I should try this, so I have the energy to get home.” She unscrewed the cap, letting out a small amount of pent-up fizz. “Ugh.” She took a moment to look at the drink. Maybe this wasn’t the best idea, drinking some strange thing she had just bought from some odd store she had never seen before. “Eh.” She took a few gulps. “This is good.” She quickly chugged the rest of the drink and threw the bottle into the nearby trash can. “Ahh.”

Samantha blinked her eyes. “Ok. What was I doing?” She took a deep breath. “Oh, right, I was going to look at the map and find a way home.” She reached into her back pocket and pulled out the map. “Ok, ok. I am here in the park. But where exactly.” She narrowed her eyes. “There is the Moonlight Rise store. And I ran down this road, I think.” She scratched at her head. “Or did I go the other way?” She turned the map around. “Which way is which? Why can you just auto-correct like my GPS?”

She raised the map to the sky, hoping that the light from the moon would help her see her the correct way. “This is absurd.” She narrowed her eyes as her map began to turn pink. “What in the world. She lowered her map and noticed that strange pink glow wasn’t from the map but from above, the moon to be exact. “Huh?” She looked up and blinked her eyes. “I have never seen anything like that before. It is so pretty.”

Samantha felt a sudden warmth spread through her body. She stared intently into the moon’s pink glare and dropped the map to the ground. “Like totally rad, it is so fucking cool. I like feel so nice and warm looking at it.”

She shook her head and turned around. “I don’t know what came over me. I spaced out for a moment.” She put her hand over her chest.  “But I feel better. I think. Phew, it is hot out tonight.” She walked over, sat down on the bench, and wiped the sweat from her brow. “Sheesh, I didn’t think it would be this hot tonight.” She began to unbutton her jacket. “That feels better.”

She leaned forward. “Well, I think I should start heading back. Where is that map.” Samantha looked around. “It couldn’t have gotten far. Oh, there it is.” She jumped up and walked over to grab it. “Where did you think you were going? Huh?” She looked at her hands in confusion. “Why are my nails so long?” She dropped the map once more. “And pink?” Samantha held up her hands and flexed them in the dim lamplight. “My fingertips are sparking. I never paint my nails.” She formed her hands into fists. “Oww.” She held her unclenched hands out in front of her. “That was a mistake. But, wow, my nails are perfect though I will say that.”

Samantha turned around. “Crap. I had to drop the map again, didn’t I? I am being a bone head tonight, aren’t I.” She bent over to pick up the map. Shrrrrink. “Oh god.” Her right hand grabbed her ass. “Please don’t tell me I just ripped my pants.” She turned her head and could see her bright blue undergarments. “Fuck.”

She stood back up only to make the tear bigger. “This is a nightmare. Ugh. My pants are so tight all of a sudden.” Samantha pulled at her belt. “Maybe I should have loosened this before leaving my house? Like that what have been a good idea.” She sighed and then hit herself on the side of her head. “What a dolt.” She giggled. “Well, I guess I have to learn some way, right.” She blinked. “Now, what was it I was doing?” She rubbed her chin, her long nails gently scratching her soft skin. “Like I feel like I had something important to do.”

Shrriippp. “Ohhh, like noo.” She smacked the sides of her legs as even more rips and tears appeared on her jeans. “Why is this happening?” She pulled her left pant leg to the side. “This won’t do. This just won’t do at all. Something is making my clothing shrink. That is like it.” She nodded her head. “Like ya.” She shook her enlarged thighs and ass. “I think I need to find someone who is in the clothing-making business.” She crossed her arms. “Someone has to do something about this. I can’t just have malf. . mafuntio. . .” She shook her head. “Malfuntionnnnn. Samantha rolled her tongue around in her mouth. “Like, wow, this word is hard to say.” She giggled. “I will find someone to deal with my weird pants.” She slapped her hands on her thighs. “Oh wow. That felt good.”

She took a deep breath. “Like ok. Get a hold of yourself.” She put her hand to her head. “You still need to like get out of the park. Yes.  That is right.” She giggled. “Can’t stay around here anyways.” She rolled her shoulders. “Need to keep jogging and going to where I was going.” She started down the path, the tears in her jeans slowly increasing as she ran. “I like just wish I could remember where I was going.”

Samantha took deep breaths as she turned her head to the left and right. “Like this is weird. I don’t even remember coming out here. At least I think I don’t.” She scratched at her head. “This is like so weird. Ugh, why am I talking like this, like an umm. . .” She tapped her hand on her chin. “Like some umm well I can’t think of the word. All that is coming to me is hawt chick. And why does my chest feel so heavy all of a sudden?” She looked down. “Like oh my god! My boobies, I mean breasts, are growing.” She gently touched the side of her sensitive breasts as they stretched her shirt and bra. “Ohhhhh.” She giggled. “Like fuck I look hawt. Noo. I feel hawt.” Samantha looked up as she tapped her fingers on her expanding boobs. “Like which is it. Can it be both?” She shrugged and giggled. “Like I don’t care.”

She took another step forward when suddenly her belt snapped off her body, and her pants fell to the ground. “Ugh. That feels so much better.” She smiled and touched her tender hips. “Like wow.” She blinked her eyes. “Oh, hey, wake up now.” She walked over and put her hand on a nearby tree. “Coem on now, girl. Like, resist these crazy changes. Phew.” She wiped her sweat from her brow. “Like why is this happening to me? I need to stay sharp.” She turned around and looked behind her. “I am not sure what this hawt version of me wants to do, but I can’t let her out.” She groaned. “Ohh, but it feels sooo good.” Samantha slapped herself. “Like no. Get ahold of yourself. Like, think. A map, right? I was looking for a map? Hugh? What would I want with a map? Ugh, my head it like hurts?”

As she shook her head, Samantha’s bangs began to shrink. “Like what is going on? I like need to see.” She pushed away from the tree and ran until she found a small stream. As she approached, she could see the strange pink moon in the water. “Ugh, like it is getting worse.” She bent over at the water's edge and looked down. Her eyes went wide as she noticed that she had bright blue eyes and her hair had turned an almost gold color. “Oh fuck. Is that mine?” She ran her hands through her hair. “Like it is so full.” She giggled as her hair continued to grow, extending down past her shoulders. “Fuck baby, I am almost the total package.”

She stood up and looked at her chest. “I like think I could just be a bit bigger.” Her shirt began to travel up her waist as her breasts continued to slowly swell. “Like my bobbies have the right idea.” She giggled and turned around. “Like now to continue my way out of here.” She bent her head to the side. “Like, didn’t I have a party or something I was going to? I can’t remember, but I feel like that is the only reason I would have come out here tonight. If not, I can totally find one.” She giggled and walked into the mist.
