Growth in a Bottle 2

This story will be coming to DA on March 28th (I am behind on my upload schedule there so this is just to help remind me later when I post the preview.)

Growth in a Bottle part 2

Carien crossed her arms as she sat on the edge of the beach and thought of what to do, her body steadily growing another few inches. “Can I really let Amy just go off like that? She might hurt people.” She scratched at her chin as she dipped her giant toe in the water. “But I can’t let anyone else see me all gigantic like this. I swore I would never let this happen.” She looked down at Karen and Lora, passed out on the sand next to her. “Well, at least they don’t seem to know anything about this, and if they did, hopefully, it will just be a nightmare for them.”

Carien turned her head and sighed. “And it isn’t my problem anyway, right? I didn’t give her the growing Fredricks Fancy drinks, so why should I risk my neck trying to stop her and become a mini-celebrity like Sarah. People all over town want her to do things just because she can change in size, and those who don’t know she can just know that some giant woman has been sticking around our hometown like some weird werewolf.” She sighed. “I don’t need that kind of target on my back.”

Carien winced as the sound of blaring horns filled the night air. “That could be anything.” She heard a siren followed by a loud crunch. “Or not.” She turned her head and looked behind her. “Maybe I should go see what this fun Amy is getting herself into.” Carien stood up. “Frist though, I need something to cover my face. I am not going out there so the world can know who I am.”

She stood up and looked up and down the beach. “Damit, all it would be nice if there was something my size on this resort.” She turned towards the hotel. “Hmm.” Carien walked over and examined the glistening glass building. “Maybe, just maybe.” She broke through the window on the fifth floor, grabbed the carpet, and pulled. Carien then proceeded to yank the velvet carpet out from the entire floor. “Goodness.” She held the length of carpet in her hands and a few dangling people in their underwear on it as well. “I can’t believe that worked. Oh, I am sorry.” She shook the baggage free, sending them falling into the water below.

“Sorry about that.” She chuckled and used the velvet to cover her eyes and mouth. “Ok, that should be good enough so people can’t tell who I am.” Her body grew another few inches. “As long as these growth spells don’t cause it to rip in two.” She turned around and looked towards the small town that Amy had walked towards. “Now to see what she is doing.” Carien walked off into the night. As her thunderous footsteps left the soft sand, Lora groaned, her body slowly starting to grow in size on the dark sandy beach.

A few moments later, Carien found herself on the outskirts of town as she overlooked a dented gas station. “Well, this isn’t good.” She bent over and pulled the roof upright as the owner ran out and hit her foot with a broom.

“Back. You already damaged my shop enough, you devil.”

“Hey, I am trying to help.”

“Just be happy I don’t have my shotgun tonight.””

Carien shook her head and stood up. “I have bigger things to deal with.” She made her way into the small beachfront town as she followed the dented cars. “At least Amy is leaving me a trail to follow.”

A few moments later, she spotted Amy as she dangled a young man playfully over her head. “What should I do with you?”

He flung around in the air. “Please just put me down. I didn’t mean it when I said you were too big.”

“Oh, come now. I took that as a compliment.” Amy laughed. “I mean, look at me. You can’t get enough of me now, can you?” She swelled another foot. “It is amazing that I am big, and you know it.”

“Ok, it’s amazing. Now just put me down.”

She laughed. “Well, whatever you say, darling.” Amy winked. “But remember you requested this one-way trip.” She opened her jaw and dropped the man into her mouth.

“Amy, stop.”

She turned around and mumbled, “Carien?”

Carien ran up, her foot smashing the front of a car, and punched Amy in the gut. “Uugh.” The man flew out of her mouth and onto the top of a nearby building. He shook his head and wiped off the spit that dripped off his body.

“Ugh, gross.” He then looked up at Carien and Amy. “Oh fuck, now there are two of them. I am out of here.” He turned around and ran.

Amy rubbed her chest and looked up at Carien. “What the hell is wrong with you? I wasn’t really going to eat him.” She took a deep breath and narrowed her eyes. “I just wanted to see what people tasted like at this size. Enjoy everything at my disposable before I shrink back down. That is still a possibility, right.” She flexed her arms. “I am going to live my life to the fullest until then.”

Carien shook her head. “You can’t just go on a rampage because you are dozens of feet larger than you were an hour ago.”

Amy pushed on Carien’s shoulder. “Why not? I am only a few feet shorter than you, and I am asking saner than you are. Look at you. You are hiding behind some makeshift mask. What are you even afraid of?”

“This can come back and bite you tomorrow when you shrink down. Trust me.”

Amy laughed. “Oh, come now. We are goddesses given the chance of a lifetime. Embrace it.”

“We are not goddesses.” Carien grabbed Amy’s arm. “Hell, I have even seen another giantess on the news dragged away by iron chains.” Carien tapped her hand on her chin. “Now that I think about it, that person looked a lot like Karen.” She shook her head. “Anyways, you are delusional if you think just because we are a good seventy plus feet tall, we can do whatever we want.”

Amy pushed Carien. “Look, I am not going to put up with a buzzkill. So either join me in the fun or stay out of my way.” She pulled at Carien’s mask. “So take this silly thing off. You look like a fool.”

Carien narrowed her eyes and struck Amy in her right shoulder, sending her toppling backward and crushing a nearby department store. “Oh shit.” Carien gulped. “I am so sorry I just lost my temper there. Also, I can’t believe I just made you crush that business.” She ran her hands through her hair as Amy stood back up and shook her head. “We have to help those people, we—

Amy kicked Carien in the gut before pushing her over, her head almost landing on someone’s house. “Why don’t you just head back to the beach?” Amy snorted and turned around. “I have some fun to have, and I am not going to let some oversized bitch get in my way.”

Carien quickly sat up and narrowed her eyes as she grew another few inches. “I am not a bitch.” She readjusted her mask and made her way to her feet. “Now you are coming with me to the beach while we wait these growth spells out, Amy.”

She laughed and picked up a small one-story shack. “Ohh, I am so scared.”

Carien walked forward. “Hey, put that down.”

Amy laughed. “Oh please, it is just a hunk of metal.” The sound of barking came from inside. “Oh, maybe not.”

Carien rushed forward, her foot smashing a fire hydrant. “Put that down now before you hurt the dog inside.”

Amy rolled her eyes. “Oh, please. Like I would hurt a living breathing creature.” She laughed. “Well, if I could see it.” She dropped the shed. Carien rushed forward and caught the tiny building before it shattered on the pavement below as Amy walked away laughing.

Carien raised her head as she set the shed down and let the frightened animal out. “Stop this madness before someone really gets hurt.”

“Oh, come now.” She pulled a chimney off a house and used it to knock down a telephone pole. “Live a little.” She then effortlessly tossed the pile of bricks at Carien’s head.

“Shit.” She ducked out of the way as the chimney sailed over her head and towards the beach. “That is it.” She stepped over a few houses, the smoke coming out of the chimneys tickling her groin, and wrapped her arms around Amy. “I am going to drag you out of this town before you cause any more damage or grow any bigger to become any more of a threat.”

Amy twisted in Carien’s grip. “Oh fuck off.” She thrashed about as Carien dragged her down the street. “You think because you are a good twenty feet taller than me, you can push me around.”

“I don’t want anyone to get hurt. This isn’t about who pushes who around. You don’t get to have a sudden mental break because you are gigantic.”

Amy laughed. “You are the one going mental. You think because we just met that I am a kind caring, person. Well, I am not. Get over it.” She hit Carien in the gut with her elbow. “I am happy that I am big and have this big playground to myself. Maybe I will take a stroll down to my hometown and give my boss the resignation letter that he deserves.” She used her foot to smash a nearby car. “Oh, that would be lovely.”

Beams of light hit Amy in the face. “Put your hands on your head and get on the ground, so we don’t have to use force.”

Amy laughed. “You are kidding, right?” She kicked a hole in a nearby apartment building. “What do you think you are going to do to me?”

Out of the darkness, giant iron cables shot out and wrapped around her left arm. “Hey.” She pulled away, but the iron cables held firm. “What the hell is this?” Suddenly she was pulled down towards the ground, but Amy fought to keep on her feet. “I am not going anywhere. Whoever you are, you will not have me.”

Carien shook her head. “What is going on?” She watched as another iron cable wrapped around Amy’s right arm. “Oh shit!” She turned her head to see small trucks on the road bearing the Fredricks Fancy symbol. “What the hell is going on?”

Carien jumped to her feet and ran as one of the small trucks fired one of the iron cables at her. She ducked out of the way, the cable instead wrapping around a nearby office building. “This is crazy. Why are people who work for Fredricks Fancy doing this?” She ran behind a skyscraper and caught her breath. “I thought Sarah was a bit overboard when she said that Fredricks Fancy was insane, but this is over the top.” She peered around the side of the building. “I don’t see any of them at least.”

Carien narrowed her eyes back at Amy. Try as she might, she was slowly being pulled down onto her chest by the cables of the Fredricks Fancy brigade. “I can’t just leave her there.” Carien took a deep breath. “But if I save her, she will just go back to destroying the town.” She watched as Amy cried out in pain as the iron cables dug into her skin. “No, running away isn’t right.” She turned to look at her exposed face on the side of the building. “Even if this will expose myself to the world. I could never look Sarah in the face if I turned the other way. She is so much more confident than me, even if she doesn’t show it. Willing to go out in public with all of her size-changing shenanigans.” Carien sighed. “If Sarah can do that on an almost daily basis, then I can do this once.”

She stepped out from behind the sky scrapper and ran at one of the black trucks which held the iron cable lines. The workers turned to look at Carien as she approached, yelling and pointing at her before finally jumping from the vehicle. She then smashed the small truck beneath her heel. “Oww shit. That is not easy as it looks.” She held her foot in her hand and picked off bits of metal. “Fuck I am going to regret this in the morning.”

Spotlights beamed Carien in the face. “Take her down now.”

Carien gulped. “Oh shit.” She fell down onto her chest, using all of her strength not to crush the houses below her, and crawled as the iron cables shot over her head. She then made her way over to the next vehicle, which held Amy down, and shouted, “Run when I get these bastards off of you.”

“Why are you helping me?” Amy shook her head as she pulled at her restraints.

Carien picked up the next truck and ripped out the cannon which held the iron restrains. “Let’s talk about this after you are free.” She then threw the vehicle across town, not even bothering to shake the Fredricks Fancy employees loose first.

Amy began to stand back up. “Me run?” She groaned under the weight of her bonds. “Umm, maybe retreat a bit, but I don’t think running is. . .”

Carien ran over and pulled off a few of the cables. “Look, rationalize this however you want. We are just going to get away, ok.”

Amy stood up and threw the last cable onto a nearby house. “Ok.”

Carien winced. “And stop destroying property around here.”

Amy ran on ahead, her legs toppling over buildings as she ran. “Look, I don’t care about this town still. Let’s just get away from those crazy people.”

Carien sighed. “As long as we get away from the town, I guess.”

They ran towards the highway, Amy constantly knocking over trees as she ran. “Amy, wait.”

“What now?” She stopped just before her foot crushed the side of the freeway.”

Carien pulled to a stop beside her. “We have to go back.” She took a deep breath and put her hands on her knees. “Wow, that took a lot out of me.”

“Go back? Come on, there are crazy people back there.”

Carien raised an eyebrow. “What about Karen and Lora. They are still on the beach, and they drank the same stuff as us. They could start growing at any moment. You want to leave them in the hands of those people?”

Amy rolled her eyes. “I could care less. You helped me get away, and I am thankful.” She pushed Carien on the shoulder. “Now take my advice, sweetheart. Let it go. Those people back there are nuts. It isn’t worth it going back there just to help Kara and Loa.”

“Karen and Lora.”

Amy shook her head. “Hey, who cares what their names are. I am over seventy feet tall, remember? Nothing matters except for you, and that is only because you are taller than me.” Amy winked. “You get a bit of a free pass.” She turned around and walked off into the night. Her giant foot crushed the freeway as she walked away.

Carien sighed. “If I didn’t have other things to do, I would chase her down before she could do any more harm.” Carien ran her hand through her hair and turned back towards the town. “Now I need to figure out how to get back to the beach without those creeps spotting me.” She looked down at her massive body. “It isn’t like that is going to be easy.” Carien gulped. “Shit, I forgot that I grew my clothes off. I have been exposed this whole time?” She clenched her hands into fists. “Ughhh, I can focus on getting some makeshift clothing later. I can’t let Fredricks Fancy find them on the beach.” She bent down and walked into the forest. “But I can’t believe I have gone this long being completely naked like this. Oh my god.”

The sound of whirling blades filled the air as she walked through the forest. “What is it now?” She peered up to see a small helicopter in the distance with a strange device dangling below. “What are they trying to do now?” Carien shook her head. “Well, I don’t want to find out. Best to just stay out of sight.”

She stayed low to the ground and pushed the trees out of the way as she made her way towards the beach. As she fumbled around in the dark and caused a tree to almost come unrooted, something whizzed past her ear and struck the nearby ground. “What the hell?” The tree's roots suddenly burst from the ground, and Carien fell flat on her face. “Shit.”

She shook her head to see a strange glinting tube in front of her. “What in the world?” She picked it up as she stood back up. “Why is there a giant needle in the middle of nowhere? And what is this liquid?”

Carien turned her head to see the helicopter buzzing towards her like a gnat. “Get lost.” She stood up and swatted at it like the bug it was, sending it crashing downward. “I am getting sick of this nonsense.” She turned around and hurried towards the beach.

Once she was back on the sands, Carien noticed a big problem. “Oh no. Lora.” She took a few steps forward and put her hand on her leg. “Not you too.”

She shook her head as her body slowly grew. “Ugh, what is going on? Last thing I remember was being flung from the ship.”

Carien sighed. “Hey, do you know where Karen is?”

Lora shook her head and sat up. “Beats me.” She looked out over the sand. “Hey, why is the hotel so much smaller than before?”

“Look, Lora, I don’t have time to explain this, but we need to go.”

She pulled her arm away. “Hey, keep your hands to yourself. I don’t want to catch whatever growing crap you have.”

Carien rolled her eyes. “A bit late for that.”

“What? Owww!” Carien looked down to see another giant needle sticking out of Lora’s side. “Where did this come from?”

Carien turned around to see another helicopter flying in the distance. She quickly ran over and grabbed the vehicle before throwing it out over the water, the copter skipping like a stone. “Lora, now can we please go before anything else happens?”

She stood up and dusted the sand from her dark body. “Ok, sure. This is way too weird, and I don’t want to stick around. . .” She blinked her eyes. “Whoh.”

“Lora?”

“I umm need to rest my eyes a moment.” She blinked took a step forward before shutting her eyes and falling asleep.

“Lora!” Carien grabbed her before she hit the ground. “Hey, snap out of it.” She pulled the needle out of Lora’s side. “Ugh, how can you be so heavy? You are just barely half my size. God!” Carien looked down the beach. “Well, looks like I am dragging you away from here, so those Fredricks Fancy creeps don’t get their hands on you too.” She lifted Lora onto her shoulders. “Hopefully, we can find someplace safe to spend the night. And don’t you dare grow on me. I haven’t grown in the last half hour and don’t need you getting any bigger. I don’t think I could carry you.”

Carien carried Lora down the beach, eventually finding a hidden cove. “Finally.” She sent Lora down just as she grew again. “I think we are far enough away from those Fredricks Fancy jerks. We can stay here tonight until we shrink back down. Then we can go back home.” Carien crossed her arms. “Then I can see Sarah again.”

Amy pulled the roof off a small home and laughed. “Well, today isn’t your lucky day, now isn’t it?”

Suddenly something sharp pierced her backside. “Oww!” She jumped up, her feet slamming down and crushing the pavement. “What the hell was that?” She turned around to pull out a syringe. “Who would dare do this?”

Amy’s eyes became heavy as tiny people in strange outfits came closer. “Get back.” She waved her hands before falling to her knees. “Don’t you know who I am? I am your goddess.”

“Ya right. Now just put those hands up, miss goddess. You are the property of Fredricks Fancy for the time being.” Amy fell down onto her face, and a strange-looking man walked up and put his boot heel on her nose. “Just get used to it. Don’t worry, though; it won't’ be permanent.” He scratched at his beard. “Consider it a deal.” He shook her nostril. “And you shook on it. In what odd manner that you did.”

Another voice ran out. “Fredrick, sir, are you sure you want to get that close?”

“I will do what I see fit.” Amy blinked her eyes. “Now, just get her tied up and hauled back to the facility.” Her eyes blinked once more, her consciousness fading. “We have a schedule to keep.” Amy blacked out.
