Penny sighed as she locked up the door to her dealership. “There, finally. I told Tess to be here tonight and take care of things but oh no.” She shook her head and turned around. “Opening up this new shop apparently is too important. Have to dodge calls tonight on me.” She shook her head as she walked down the street. “When I get back to Gallensburg she is going to have an ear full from me. I don’t want to even think about having to hire some newfangled person. Ugh.”
She walked across the street and sat down on a bench. “My feet are killing me as well. I should have hired someone to help me tonight.” Penny rolled her eyes. “I hate running this business sometimes.”
“Then why do you do it darling?”
She looked up to see a giant breasted woman twirling her long blonde hair. “Ugh what do you want tramp?”
The lady slid down next to her. “Aww is that any way to speak to me?” She threw her arm around Penny. “Like hell all I wanted to do was help you destress.”
Penny pushed her away and jumped to her feet. “Look I know what you are about and what you are going to say.” She rolled her green eyes. “I don’t have time for this. I have to get home. Plan for things to do tomorrow especially becaue that lazy ass Tess isn’t anywhere to be found.” She looked at the lady sitting on the bench before her. “Besides I have standars lady.”
The woman laughed. “Like wow so tense. Are you sure I can’t help take away a itsy bisity teeny weny bit of that stressy wessy?”
Penny slammed her foot onto the ground. “I am not stressed!” She moved her dark bangs to the side. “Now I am going to go home and forget about this. I have a long work day ahead of me tomorrow.”
Penny turned around to see the strange woman suddenly in front of her, inches from her face. “But like I can’t let you go like this.” She threw her arms around Penny, her grip like a vice. “I need to help you relax.” She gave Penny a big kiss on the face. Penny twisted away and spat. “There you are darling.” The strange woman laughed.
“Ugh.” Penny wiped her lips. “Look why can’t you just not go around kissing every person you meet.” She straightned her jacket and walked down the sidewalk. “Damn bimbo.”
The woman waved as Penny walked away. “Be seeing you honey. Like feel better and all.”
Penny shook her head. “I will after I get away from you.” She hurried down the road and twords the parking lot. “I can’t wait to get back home. Hopefully there will be a lot less weirdos when I get there.”
Penny pulled the keys out of her pocket. “Hmm maybe though while I am here I should consider checking out the shops. Maybe I could find a store open this late?” She opened the door to her vehicle. “I must be crazy thinking about shopping at a time like this.” She laughed. “I mean why would I suddenly be concerned about getting new high heels for myself.” Her eyes light up. “And glittering new bras. Oh I should go and see if the mall is open.”
Penny shook her head. “Ugh sheesh. Focus.” She started the engine to her vehicle. “Just get home. I have a lot of work tomorrow due to Tess. I can’t waste time thinking about shoes.” She pulled out of the parking lot. “And how good they could look on me.”
She shook her head. “Damnit. Focus.” She gripped the wheel and swearved the vehicle. “Stop zoning out.” She waved her right hand. “When I get home I can get online and look for all the shoes I want.” She giggled. “Goodie.”
Penny’s eyes widdend. “What the hell just came out of my mouth?” She pulled to a stop at the light. “I think I am going a little bit insane. That is it. Huh?” She looked at her left hand. “That is strange. My fingernails are longer than I remember.” She lifted her left hand off the wheel. “I like never have them this long. Nor this pink.” She scratched her head with her left hand. “Why can’t I remember doing this? I usualy remember everything I do. Like hell am I going to have to start writing things down on notes or something?” She shook her head. “I think that the stress of this damned job is getting to me.” She laughed. “Yes that is it.”
She pulled to another stop. “Hey I didn’t know the moon was out.” She rolled down her window and looked up. “Hey why in the world is it pink though?”
