Curse of the Super Moon

“Tonight will be a spectacle to behold dear viewers.” The news anchor sat back and stretched his arms out. “A Super Moon. Do you know what that is? The full moon out tonight is going to be very big and bright for you stargazers out there. It is because the moon will be on its closest approach to our planet. Who knows what could possibly happen, right?”
Sandra shut off the station. “A super moon?” She laughed.
“Why is that the subject the news outlets think is important to discuss tonight instead of I don’t know the robbery that happened just down the street from me.” She crossed her arms. “Sure, some odd and random moon is more important than my hometown's security.”
She jumped to her feet and dusted herself off. “Well, hopefully, that moon can be good for something and give some light out tonight. I can’t believe that I am being roped into a block-wide jog through the woods by my neighbor. What does he think he is doing trying to get us to live healthier? He is going to get us killed.” She walked into the next room and over to the fridge. “Just because we don’t go outside every day and exercise like he doesn’t mean he should drag us off into the woods for some camp out.”
She opened the fridge and pulled out a can of soda. “Ugh. I just hope that Ben decides that this little camp out will only last about a day or so. I have better things to do than be in the middle of the state park.”
Her cellphone vibrated in her pocket. Sandra rolled her green eyes. “I wonder who that could be.” She set her soda down and pulled out her phone. “Hello?”
“Sandra? It’s Ben e ronia.”
“Oh, hello, Ben.” She tried to sound as sincere as possible. “How are you doing?”
“Just checking in on everyone. I will be seeing you in an hour still, right?”
“Of course. Provided I can find my way out there. I mean walking all the way out into the middle of Evergreen Woods on my own. You know things could happen, and I could be delayed.”
“I could help out. You know, make sure that you make it to the camp site.”
Her eyes went wide. “Oh no. That is alright, Ben. I will be able to find the place on my own. It is okay.”
“But I just want to help. Tell you what you and Tonya can make your way to the campsite together.”
“No, Ben, really.”
“I will call her now. It will be perfect. Oh, she will just love this. Just hang on.”
“Ben!” The line went dead. “Ugh fuck. Just the perfect little helper. Things would be so much nicer if everyone else didn’t enable him.” She threw her phone back into her pocket. “And of all people, why Tonya? I don’t remember the last time I spoke to her.” Sandra sighed. “Can tonight get any worse?”
***
Sandra rushed to the front of her house as the doorbell rang. “Hold on.”
She took another sip of her soda. “I am on my way.” A few moments later, she flung her front door open to see Tonya standing before her as she tapped away on her cell phone. “Oh, it’s you.”
She pushed her way inside. “A hello would be nice. Do you have anything to eat before we have to head out?” She threw her bag onto the floor. “I want some carbs into me, so I have something to burn off.”
“Nothing that wouldn’t take ages to make.”
She didn’t look up from her phone. “Then get your stuff so we can head out. We are going to see nature and stuff. It will be lovely.” She used one hand to brush aside her green hair as she slumped against the wall.
Sandra rolled her eyes as she turned around and walked into the next room. “I am going to spend more time babysitting her than anything else. Why did Ben partner me up with her?” She opened the door to her bedroom. “I would stay home, but then I would have Ben or someone else knocking at my door and trying to drag me out into the cold of night.”
She grabbed her bag. “Well, time to get this over with.”
She walked back into the living room, where Tonya tapped away on her phone. “Ok, ready to get out and see that nature?”
She held up her hand. “One sec. In the middle of something.”
Sandra tapped her foot and walked over. “Just what are you doing?”
She looked at the movie playing on Tonya’s screen.
“I am watching the rest of the film before we head out. Cell reception is murder where we are going.”
Sandra clenched her hands into fists and grabbed the phone. “Shut that off. I am not waiting around for you to finish some movie if I don’t get to have any fun of my own. So now let’s get going.”
Tonya rolled her eyes. “Buzzkill.”
They walked to the door. “Look, I am not happy about this either, but if we do this, hopefully, Ben will lay off this crap for a while. Ok.”
Tonya nodded her head. “Ya. I don’t want him to get any more ideas.” They both laughed before looking away from each other. “Let’s just go.” Tonya picked up her pack and walked out the door into the cool evening air.
Sandra grabbed her keys and pulled the door closed.
“Hopefully, this won’t last too long.”
She locked her door. “But knowing Ben that is too much to ask for.” She put her hands into her jean pockets and walked down the path towards the sidewalk.
Tonya turned her head as she approached. “So, do you know where we are going?”
“We just make our way out of the suburbs and towards the Temberline National Forest. I don’t know from there.” She shrugged. “All Ben said is we follow the trail to the campsite. I do wish he would have sent a map instead of just word of mouth directions.”
“The moonlight sure is bright tonight.” Tonya held her arm over her head. “What is going on?”
Sandra shrugged her shoulders. “Someone on the news called it a super moon or some bull crap like that. Some rare occurrence. All I know is that is going to keep me up all night.”
“Ya. It sure is weird, though.” Tonya hugged herself. “Do you feel weird?”
Sandra shook her head. “No, why?”
“I don’t know. I just kind of feel a little bit odd.” She blinked her eyes as she looked up at the moon. “Kind of tingly almost.”
Sandra laughed. “That sounds a bit crazy. How can you feel odd and tingly from just looking at the moon?” She turned her head. “Tonya? Hey, are you alright? Tonya!”
She grabbed her arms and shook her out of her trance. “Hey, listen to me.”
“Huh, what?”
“You were zoned out looking up at that super moon.” Sandra pointed up at the moon.
“Look, there isn’t anything special about it.” She looked up at it. “It is just the same full moon we have had every night.” She blinked her green eyes. “Whoh.” A sudden calmness overtook her body. “That is a beautiful and massive sphere in the sky.” She could feel a strange warmth spread throughout her body. “It is very amazing, wouldn’t you say?”
Sandra blinked her eyes and shook her head. “Umm, what in the world was I thinking?”
She looked down the road and spotted the edge of the woods. “There we are. Our destination is right ahead of us. Let’s get going. The sooner we do, the sooner we can get this over with and get back into the safety of our beds.”
“Hey, Sandra, do your breasts feel heavy?”
She turned around. “Is that anything to be asking me? Lordly.” Sandra’s eyes went wide as she watched Tonya’s boobs expand outward. “Umm, are you feeling ok? You are umm swelling, I mean umm sweating.”
“I just feel so hot all of a sudden. I think we should hurry and get out of this moonlight or something.”
Sandra took her arm. “What a great idea.” She pulled Tonya into the woods. “Let’s get some blood pumping through our systems and not have to worry about any craziness that might be befalling our bodies. No perfectly normal things are happening to us right now.”
“Why are you acting so strange? Did you forget to use the restroom? If you need to use a bush, I can wait.”
Sandra held up her hands. “It isn’t that.” She looked down at Tonya’s chest and her inflating breasts. “I just think we should get moving. That is all.”
Tonya pulled away. “Not until you tell me why you are acting so strange.” She rubbed her back. “Gwh, why is it suddenly so hard for me to stand upright?” She looked down at her chest and screamed. “What is going on?”
“Hey, if we just keep moving, everything will be alright.” She pulled on Tonya’s arm. “Now, let’s go. Ugh.” Sandra rolled her eyes and turned her head. “Come on, this isn’t the time to be like some tree stump. We need to get moving.”
“What am I going to do about these boobs, though?”
She pulled away from Sandra. “My back can’t support these babies.” She groaned. “Like hell, I don’t think my shirt can take much more either.”
“Tonya, we need to get out here before. . .” Shrrrrripp. Sandra looked down to see her own clothing become skin-tight as her body started to grow. “That happens.” Sandra gulped as she slowly grew another few inches and looked down at her unwanted companion. “We need to get moving now.”
Tonya pulled at her blouse. “Just a moment. I am trying to make it, so this damn shirt of mine isn’t killing me. My breasts may be turning into watermelons, but that doesn’t mean my shirt gets to cut me in half.”
Sandra reached down and pulled on Tonya’s arm. “Oh no, we are not staying in this cursed moonlight any longer. God, how heavy are you?”
Tonya narrowed her eyes as her nipples pierced through her blouse. “Excuse me?
I am having a bit of a problem here, and you insult my weight?”
“Wait, what?” She winced as her feet began to press through her shoes. “What are you talking about?” She put her hand on Tonya’s shoulder as her growth continued. “I just want to get out of here before we get any larger and our clothing bursts off our body. God, my shoes hurt.” Sandra pulled at the zipper on her jeans. “Why won’t you just move already?”
Tonya pulled at her pants. “I need to get these damn things off.” She looked up at Sandra. “Wow, you are really getting big.”
“No shit. I will be able to pick you up in a little bit.” Her feet finally burst through her shoes. “As it is, your head is up to my stomach. A little while longer, and I won’t have to wait on your unwillingness to come along.” She looked up in the air. “Though I still don’t like that you are forcing me to grow so that I will be able to get us out of here. We should just move out now.” Tonya slipped out of her grasp, and Sandra fell backward into a nearby building, her rear end crushing the front side of it.
“Shit.” She shook her head and slowly stretched out her feet. “I am so sorry for that to whoever the poor lad that owns this place.” She put her hand on her knee and stood back up, her pants ripping in the process.
“Sandra.” Tonya groaned as she held her breasts. “I need your help.”
She crossed her arms and looked down. “Are you finally ready to get out of this cursed moonlight?”
Tonya nodded her head as her ass pressed against her pants. “I can’t take it anymore.” Her boobs burst through her blouse like two giant rockets. “I feel like my back is going to break. Get me somewhere where my breasts and ass will just stop growing.”
Sandra sighed and bent over. “This wouldn’t have happened if we had kept moving. Oh, gawd.” Her arms trembled as she tried to pick the massive woman up. “How can you weigh so much? You are just a massive pile of boobs and ass.”
Tonya narrowed her eyes. “Well, you got off lucky. You just were able to grow.” Her shirt ripped apart as her breasts expanded out even more. “And my breasts are so fucking sensitive.” She shuddered. “Fuck watch what you are touching.” She shivered. “Oh god, god.” Tonya giggled.
Sandra narrowed her eyes. “I am not doing this so you can have a good time.” She groaned as she finally lifted Tonya off the ground. “I am doing this to get us out of here. Now stop squirming.” She turned around and carried Tonya into the woods. “I will drop you off at the campsite. After that, you are on your own.” She carefully stepped between the trees as her pants ripped apart, revealing her skin below. “So good luck.”
“Ohh god. Fuck. But Sandra. You can’t just leave me. Ohh god, your hands against my giant ass feels so good.”
Sandra rolled her eyes. “Ya, I think I can.” She dropped Tonya right on top of the campsite. “Hope you have a good rest of your night. Enjoy that swelling of yours, I guess.”
She turned around and sighed. “I need to find someplace for cover before things get any worse for myself.” She winced as her shirt ripped apart on her body. “Ugh, and I need to hurry before I lose the little clothing I have left.” She hurried back the way she came, her head looking back and forth. “God, why do I have to be growing so fast? Just a few moments ago, I was just fifty feet tall. Now I am a good sixty or seventy.” She winced as her pants snapped off her body. “Where am I going to hide from this damn moon?”
Sandra looked around as she scratched at her breasts. “Oh god, my boobs are really starting to itch.” She walked down towards the dockside. “I hope that I am not going to have the same issues that Tonya did.”
Light suddenly filled her eyes. “Huh?”
“Get down on the ground now! Before you hurt someone!”
She looked down at multiple vehicles surrounding her. “If I lie down in any direction, I will crush something. I can’t do that.” She grew again, this time her right foot smashing into the side of a nearby gas station. “Oh shit, sorry.”
“Take her down.” Ropes twisted around her ankles. “Hey.” She reached down as the ropes pulled tight around her limbs. “What do you think you are doing?” Her legs were suddenly pulled in opposite directions.
“What the hell?” She fell onto her back as she cried out. “What are you doing?”
She could feel small people climbing up her neck. “What is this about? Is it because I didn’t take good enough care of Tonya? I can go back and help her.” She groaned as she grew again, and the ropes tightened around her body. “This isn’t funny anymore.”
“Stop struggling.”
“Ben?” She turned her head to see her friend staring at her. “What is going on? What are you doing?”
He sighed and shook his head. “Doing my job. I am sad to see that you are affected by the events tonight.”
She pulled at the restraints tightening around her arms and legs. “Ben, you are not making any sense. When I talked to you on the phone, we were just going to see each other on a stupid camping trip in the woods. How are you some . . .?” She looked back and forth. “Giantess hunter?”
“It is my job, but you wouldn’t know about it until well now. As for the camping, we would have gone on it after I had taken care of things here.” He flicked her nose. “I usually get done in time to spend with my friends.” He turned around. “Now, hurry and get a lunar shield over us before she gets any bigger.”
Sandra blinked her eyes as a massive dome was flown in over her. “Ben, what are you doing?”
“Getting you out of the direct moonlight. It is what is causing the rapid growth in your system.” He stretched his arms. “Don’t need things to become permeant, now do we?”
“You mean I could stay this size?”
He nodded his head.
“Well, what should I do? I don’t want things to stay like this. How am I supposed to eat or drink?” She shrugged her shoulders. “I guess I could use the river behind my house, but that still doesn’t explain where I would get food.”
“Sandra, stop squirming while we get the restraints tightened around your body.” He rubbed his hand across her face. “Trust me, you want to be as still as possible for what comes next.”
She raised her head. “What are you going to do?”
“We have to inject the cure into your system. I am sorry to say it is a bit of a mix of homebrew medicine and mix shock therapy. It is the reason why we are still tying you down.”
Sandra shook her head. “What? You can’t be serious.”
“Hey, we need to stabilize your size somehow. Don’t worry; it will just take a few minutes, and then when the sun rises, you can shrink back down. It will be no problem.” He gave her a thumbs up. “We can go on our camping trip then. Sound good.”
She narrowed her eyes at him. “You are not going to shock me, you little. . .”
Sandra pulled at her restraints. “You little prick.”
He grabbed onto the side of her nose. “Hey Sandra, buddy. What are you doing?”
She kicked her leg right into the lunar dome and dented its roof. “We were friends. Not very good friends but still friends. And you were going to light me up like some freak show Christmas tree?”
“Sandra. Hey, can you please. . .” His legs slipped out from under him, and he grabbed onto the side of her nose for dear life. “Oh god, calm down long enough to let me get safely off your fucking face.”
She ripped off more ropes as she kicked into the shield above her once more. “I would rather continue growing as at least nothing crazy beyond well my size increasing has come from that.” She kicked the lunar shield off to the side, and it crushed nearby buildings when it flipped over onto its back. “But forcefully making me shrink and shocking me.” She threw off the ropes and stood back up. “I am not going to stand for that kind of torture.”
She narrowed her eyes at Ben, who hung off her nose. “Sandra. We are just trying to help you and those you could possibly hurt.”
She pulled Ben off of her nose and dangled him in the air. “The people I could possibly hurt? Tell me, Ben did you do any of this because you were worried about me or just the fact I might step on someone?”
“Umm?”
She put him between her fingers. “I sure hope that you are not squished too much when I grow again from this strange super moon.” She held her other hand over her head. “That sure would be a pity.”
“Sandra! Ok, yes, we were more concerned about you destroying the town, but I am worried about your health as well.” She narrowed her eyes. “Come on, we are friends.”
“Right, Mr Giantess hunter.” Her bra snapped off her body. “Why don’t I do myself a favor and see how far you can fly?”
“Wait, what? You wouldn’t.”
Sandra sighed. “You are right. I am better than you. But.” She set him down in a nearby Jeep and then flipped the vehicle on its head. “I can do that and feel good about myself.” She laughed. “Being this tall has its perks.”
She crossed her arms and looked down towards the coast. “Well, I guess I should go and enjoy the night.” She looked down at the lunar shield at her feet which now looked more like a weird piece of head gear. “Hmm.” Sandra bent over and picked up the device. “Well, I guess I can take you with me. Ughhh.” She groaned as she lifted the metal plate over her head. “I don’t want to get too big tonight.”
She turned towards the west and sighed. “I am going to enjoy the rest of my night.
Tonya is going to be on her own, though.” With a smile on her face, Sandra walked off into the night.
