Sarah held her hands over her head as the strange in-house thunderstorm continued to pour down on her. “I need to figure out how to put an end to this downpour.” She took a step forward as her body continued its slow growth. “If I don’t, I will soon fill up this entire store.” She looked down at the chasm below her. “And this place is massive as it is. I can’t imagine how big I will be once I break out of this reality-bending store.
Sarah spotted the Fredricks Fancy creeps a few platforms further into the store as they stuffed their bags full of the exotic potions. “Hurry and grab all that you can.”
“But we can’t get everything. This place is too massive.”
“Then just get what we can.”
“But the boss said….”
“Screw what Fredrick said. We have a giant lady after us and thousands of potions in here.
We are doing the best we can.” The man threw Karen into a wall of vials. “Now, you help us out as well unless you want us to tell Fredrick that you hindered this operation.”
Karen snorted. “No, you don’t have to do that.” She picked up some nearby vials. “I still can’t believe that you weasels roped me into helping you out when all I had to do was find this place for you. For fucks sake.”
Sarah crossed her arms. “I need to find a way over there and stop them.” She looked at the small walkway separating her and the next platform; it snaked around, going up and down before reaching the next area. “But I need to hurry before these pathways become too small for me to step on.” Sarah took a tentative step out onto the strange pathway. “I can do this.”
She stepped onto the winding path and sighed. “Ok, this will be easy.” The moment she lifted her other leg off the ground, she slipped. “Holy!” Sarah reached out and grasped the far platform just before she fell into the chasm below. “Shit.” She looked down below. “I must be a good sixty feet tall, and I still can’t see the bottom of this pit. How big is this place?” She gulped. “I don’t want to fall down and find out.”
Sarah grabbed the other edge of the platform and pulled herself up. “I am just happy I am not any bigger right now, or I might have been stuck.” She took a deep breath as she grew another few feet. “I need to stop them before I can’t fit in here.” Sarah looked at the Fredrick’s Fancy goons, only two platforms away. “But once I get to them, how do I stop them?”
She stood back up as one of the goons ran down a twisting pathway closer to her. “Well, this is my chance.” Sarah took a deep breath. “Either I figure out a way to stop them or grow endlessly in this place.”
When the goon came near, Sarah jumped across the chasm. “I got you now.”
He looked at her in surprise. “What the hell?” She slammed him to the ground. “Oww.”
Sarah put her elbow on him. “Ok, one down.” She smirked.
“Let me up.”
“Sorry, but I have to stop you.” She grew again and repositioned herself to keep the tiny man under her arm. “You can’t just rob this store blind and get crazy potions to ruin people’s lives.”
“We won’t be running anyone’s life.”
She slammed her hand down and caused the floor to crack. “I have spent my life changing in size because of your products. And that is when they were shit. I can’t imagine what would happen if Fredrick knew what he was doing with real magic. No way I am letting you get out of here with anything from this store.”
“Well, you just aren’t big enough to stop all of us.”
Sarah shivered as she grew even more, and her bra snapped off of her body. “Well, we don’t have to wait long for that, now do we?”
He looked at the edge of the platform. “I don’t think this place can support you much longer.” The floor began to shake. “I don’t think any of us want to fall into that pit below.”
Sarah grabbed him by the chest and stood up. “Don’t worry. I will find a way to get us out of here before that happens.” She looked at the others on the next platform. “I just have to be quick.”
The tiny man gulped. “Well, hurry up.” He slid into her hand. “I will hide in here until this is all over.”
Sarah shook her head. “Whatever. At least the pathway to the next platform is big enough for me to walk on.” She shook her body as she grew another few feet. “As long as I hurry.”
As she stepped onto the small walkway, her head hit something. “Ouch.” Sarah looked up but could only see dark rolling clouds and an endless expanse of sky. “What did I hit?” She raised her hand, and it pressed against an invisible wall. “What in the world?” Sarah tried to put pressure against this force, but it held firm. “Did I just find the ceiling?” She grew once more. “Great, now I have to duck everywhere I go.” She shook her head. “But maybe if this place has an artificial ceiling, then maybe that bottomless pit isn’t anywhere near as deep as it seems.”
“Karen. Do something before you giantess friend gets us.” Sarah looked down as the Fredricks Fancy goons threw a handful of potions at her. “Now.”
Karen shook her head. “I can’t just. . .”
Sarah took another step forward. “Karen, stop this. You don’t need to do this.”
Karen looked at the potions in her hand, up at Sarah, and then back at her associates. “I umm. . .” She gripped the bottle tightly in her hand.
Sarah slammed her foot down on the ground. “Just drop the potion.” Her back slid against the top of the invisible wall. “Don’t drink a random potion. You may live to regret it.”
The Fredrick’s Fancy goon who had thrown Karen the vial slammed his fist against his side. “Karen, you worthless. . .” He spat. “When this is all over, I am reporting this to Fredrick.” He picked up a vial off of the ground. “Now, to show you what you should have done and to deal with the giantess at the same time.”
Sarah reached out her hand. “No, wait.”
He chugged the potion, and when he was finished, he threw the empty vial to the side. “There. Soon I will be able to stop you.” He put his pale hand on his chest. “Wow, I already feel funny.” Green leaves began to sprout out of his arms. “What is happening to me?”
Sarah giggled. “You really shouldn’t go around drinking random magical potions.” He looked up at her as his arms grew outward while turning hard and brown. “You don’t know what these potions can do.”
“Hey, I can’t move.” His feet dug into the ground as roots shot out of his legs. “Ugh, I need sunlight fast.”
The other Fredricks Fancy goons backed away from him as his skin quickly turned to bark. “What is happening to him?”
“I don’t know.”
“What do you mean you don’t know? He is turning into a tree before our eyes.”
They all dropped their potions as their fellow employee’s legs merged together and branches grew out of his chest. He then quickly grew up and up, his hair forming his massive green canopy. Finally, his face slowly vanished into the bark, and a few moments later, there was no indication that the tree had been a man.
“We need to get out of here.”
Sarah knelt down to block their escape. “Not so fast.”
The creeps pounded away on her legs. “Let us out of this madhouse, you giant freak.”
Sarah picked up one of them by the head with her free hand. “I don’t like being called a freak by people who have chased me around for the last few months. I lost my old home because of you.” She narrowed her eyes. “But that isn’t the point. I need to make sure you fools won’t be taking any souvenirs before you leave this store.”
He shook his head. “We swear. After what happened to Ivan, we want nothing to do with this place.”
Below, a young lady nodded her head, her blue hair whipping back and forth. “Ya. Fredrick can do whatever he wants. This place isn’t worth it. I don’t want to be turned into a tree or worse.”
The platform beneath them suddenly groaned. “What was that?” Karen asked.
Sarah sighed. “We need to get out of here before my growing weight becomes too much for this place.”
The man in her other hand cried out, “And we go into that pit of darkness?”
“Garry, is that you?” The man she held by the head asked. “What happened to you?”
“The giantess is holding me in her palm. What do you think? Get me out.”
Sarah shook her hands. “Will everyone just be quiet for a moment? I need to think.”
The floor beneath her knees quivered, and Karen tried to run around her growing thighs. “I don’t think we have that long.” As Karen inched around Sarah’s massive knee, the platform finally gave out, and they all fell screaming into the darkness below. Sarah twisted around to grab another platform, but before she could, her knees struck something hard, and the sudden jolt caused her to let go of the two Fredricks Fancy goons she had been holding onto.
“Ouch.” The darkness began to fade in and out as the building started to shake violently. Sarah looked around as everything began to close in on her. “What is going on?” She raised an arm only to feel invisible, an invisible wall. “I feel like I am in a shrinking box.” She closed her eyes and waited to be crushed. When she opened them, she was standing outside in the sun and a small pile of rubble at her feet. She looked down to see a couple of Fredricks Fancy employees as well.
“Well then.” She scratched at her head. “It’s a shame of what happened to the store, but at least Fredrick doesn’t have access to these stupid potions.” She looked at herself. “This stupid water growth potion already made me a good hundred some feet tall. How am I supposed to get home?” Sarah shook her head as she turned around. “I am never opening my door to anyone from Fredricks Fancy again. I don’t care what they want, even if it’s good intentions. All I get in return is craziness in my life.” She carefully walked down the road, trying her best not to step on nearby buildings. “Now I have to wait until I shrink back down and avoid anyone nutty enough to mess with me at this size.”

Karen sat up and looked around the ruined structure. “Ugh, what happened?” She noticed the tree with the Fredrick’s Fancy uniform hanging from it. “Oh shit.”
“Hey, let me help you up.” She stared up at Garry’s scared face.
“No way. You are just going to take me back to Fredrick. I don’t want him to punish me for this mess.”
Garry shook his head. “Hey, don’t worry. We don’t want any of this nonsense either. We saw what happened to Zach.” He pulled Karen to her feet. “We want out of this nonsense.”
Karren nodded her head. “Good. Giant growing women. People turning into trees. What else is this world coming to?”
Garry laughed. “I hear there is a town succumbing to blueberry madness.”
She held up her hand. “I don’t want to hear it. Let’s just get out of here.” They walked down the street in the footprints left by Sarah.
