Hey Everyone,
So, apologies for the later upload today. I had a bit of a nightmare when trying to format the chapters, and I don't know if it's from Evernote updating, or something else... but it literally removed all of my paragraph spacing in the chapters. You'll know that I have lots of dialogue, so it was just a nightmare of going in manually to add the spaces again.
Anyways, that minor grievance aside, here are the next chapters. I'm loving how well people have reacted to the new look of the Discord, and it's great seeing so many conversations happening in the Patron specific channels. Some incredible theorycrafters have joined and I'm very much here for it.
The holiday in Florida is going well. Chatfield is constantly asking why his character is such a dick, and Ryan DeBruyn is asking why his character hasn't appeared yet. By the time the next update goes out, I'll be in Daytona and really focusing on getting words done. We've not got great writing spaces here, so it's unfortunately just the two chapters this week.
Daytona, we have an office space booked out and my hope is to really get cracking on the story when I'm there. I'll arrive on the 12th I think.
Sorry for the rambling post this time around. All is good, and I'm happy with the chapters. Let me know what you think. :)

But then under the influence of the drink he was given, he conceived of the elixir machine in order to make it easier to get mastery elixirs for Gallant. Now he is stuck on the elixir machine for qcred and I think he has forgotten that the machine was not part of what his original deal with Alex was for.

2025-01-12 17:49:40 +0000 UTCIt wasn't the continuity. It was the pure grammar, spelling, repetitive words, etc. Everything an editor should or would catch. It seemed as if the rough or first draft of each book was released without anyone even taking a look to see what could or should be fixed.

2025-01-12 15:59:47 +0000 UTCin response to brian i read it that with the weaves he could replicate the plants and other components through growth and when he takes alex's elixir sals abilities recommended that he self that way and produce a way to make various elixers and a was to mass produce them. but it wasnt until he build the weapons and equipment automation process. i belive its going to be a bit of spite and under cutting the compertition as he has to fund a guild asnd his courses in quest academy if he artifical grows them with all of these processes he mostly going to be there

2025-01-11 20:18:27 +0000 UTCOvercharge is quite literally boosting the item with your essence, while Upgrade, in the first line, is the ability we see in Mythcrafter most, where he can see blueprints to upgrade anything. While Overcharge temporarily "evolves" the item, Upgrade creates a pseudo version of the blueprint, letting her see what it could possibly become, which she combines with an Overcharge rune on the gear itself to actually manifest it. Edite: Upgrade can temporarily boost an item to the limit of the crafter this way and is not limited to raising it by 1 grade.

Alex is essentially expecting access to a cheaper/easier materials provider for what *he* needs to make and sell Elixirs. Sal is planning to make something to automate ingredient growth AND the creation of Elixirs. I.e. he is directly creating a competitor to Alex’s business (and as far as I can tell there’s been no conversations indicating Alex *wants* to lose exclusivity on some of his simpler products to free up time) So, is this somehow supposed to be for Alex’s benefit, or have we just accepted that the relationship with Alex is burned and he should be replaced with CoffeeWright?

2025-01-09 05:20:20 +0000 UTCSpoiler Alert Blathnaid skill has been improved so much due to Sal improving her weave but balthnid has not changed much due to mastery level of her skill it’s a game changer for her as she was getting the dreads before and her abilities are lower than fabi’s due to her thinking about her ability as a tailor were fabi didn’t have a weave until sal changed all that and gave her the perfect ability as well as her unique skill ability. But she is unique in the fact that fabi’s skill is an unknown skill and she has to learn to overcome the challenges of her new weave.

2025-01-07 23:13:45 +0000 UTCFirst time commenting! Love these books. I’m hoping anyone can answer this question… What’s the difference between say Fabi’s Skill and Blathnaid’s Skill? For the Crafters, I’m having some trouble drawing some distinction, it may be due to my memory of the first couple books. I understand how some of them work. Sal’s is the ultimate Crafting Skill. Doc Amaye’s is just a rung below that. Upgrade can literally upgrade equipment (though I see some overlap with that Overcharge Skill Sal’s Support teammate has). However, Blathnaid’s and Fabi’s seem similar? I don’t think Blathnaid can alter environmental objects, like the granite Fabi molded when she got her Skill, but both seem about assembly. Is it just a matter of combining elements into a single crafted object?

I find his work on the skill weaves and his team interactions to solve problems a lot more fun to read. For me Sal is the most interesting when he tries to solve a problem then accidentally makes a solution that is so much better than anyone his age could pull off. All because he thinks everyone is this Super Rookie or beyond level genius at everything.

2025-01-07 06:34:42 +0000 UTCI liked Chatfield's 10 realms series, but I only got to book 5. I am very detail oriented when it comes to my reading, so I notice and try to fix mistakes as I read. Sometimes I don't even realize I'm doing it. That series has so many editing mistakes that it was a slog to read a much as I did. It was a great story–in my opinion–with a unique premise and a non-romantic, friendly, bond that I haven't seen often, if at all. Most are antagonistic or turn romantic, so it was an interesting change. But it was a hard read because of all of the errors.

He wanted to take a several month long break away from programming but he's getting dragged back in. I don't think he's opposed to the concept, he just wanted to prioritize other aspects of crafting to freshen up.
