Chapter 22: the way the way the weave darted up and down in jagged triangles, made him think of a set of fangs. The way repeated. Chapter 23: The important think to him - thing not think?

I can't help but think he will just get master classes for everything. A good amount of teachers said they would give him master class invites. And with all the mythcrafter and skill master stuff, it would be crazy to tell him to fully leave support.

Five more great chapters! Just finished listening to all 3 books out on audio. I think BN missed a side story in Silvers on what the Reavers guild paid Sal for the Legendary Grade sniper rifle. All that was said is it was a “Hefty Sum”, but his Q credit balance never showed a specific fair value added. Really, the obsidian daggers averaged 15000 Qcred ($750000), how much would that rifle be worth? It seems the Reavers stiffed Sal so how would he and Vanessa react to that, or how would Vila respond to a lowball payment from her guildmaster that blows up the relationship with Myth?

Yea I bet he gets recommended to switch to controller and he will double down on support. Especially after Jack was told he should be a controller from Nemesis. I do agree the body manipulators should be offence though, I never understood why they were controllers until Barry highlighted it.

I can't wait to see what Sal's report card says and what suggestions are made for his potential future. I can just see someone recommending that he give up Support and become a controller or an offense, especially as he is a guild master now.

Am I the only one that feels bad for Alex? Sal just keeps stringing him along. I love the entire story but as time goes on I keep asking "Yea, but what about Alex?" And in case I have the name wrong Alex is the guy that makes the "special" coffee / drinks.

I'm finally caught up. Let me start by saying I love the books. I have read and listened to them a few times and they keep getting better. Great job. I do see how some people might say there is a lot of filler. Some sections or scenes feel dragged out. But it might just be because I'm excited to see specific things. Like when the the friend friends FINALLY sees jacket/dungeon run, the finished mythmark, Upgrades version of the arm, what Sals new threat level is with the new gear, combat training and skills and now how many people are actually paying attention to Sal. I will be blown away if he doesn't have at least 5 masterclass invitation, guild partnerships from a ton of guild and private tutoring and outings with high ranked Hunters. And can one person be more then a support? Is guild master its own class? Also, ever since Arsenal was announce, I am dying for an avenger's themed intro. Just imagin the Mythic guild all in the pocket dimension during a mission, for w.e. mission. The different guild decides to kidnap Sal, he fights them but is getting beat. But then the bad guys starts to monolog, Sal drops a sick one line and opens the gate from the Mythic guild to come out and kick ass! It would be epic. I can 100% see Barry borrowing some weapon he finds inside and using it to kick ass. I can't wait for the next chapters!

Fingers crossed Upgrade goes too, to see her future Jackal in action. (or even better her completed Mythic Jackal). I wonder if her Jackal will have a different name since it uses Venomstone instead of a Blight core?

Re reading the chapter on Hannah I’m kinda Team Hannah now. To think how terrified she was seeing Sal remove Westor’s power in the stairwell is an eye opener. #teamVolvo

I feel like the sex was more Hannah driven. After the first time Sal knew what he was getting into, but I don’t think he would have expected it just for the gloves. Of course now we know Hannah has a huge inferiority complex.

Excellent set of 5! I think I'm most excited to see how the guilds are going to approach Sal and company going forward. I can only imagine losing aspirants such as Anna and Mica to a trainee guild is going to sting. P.S. I absolutely loved the reaction Hannah had regarding "learning the hard way"!

Pretty sure that loss of interest had something to do with his therapy sessions with...Dr head? I think. The immortal guy. He pointed out that if he focused entirely on fixing people's skill weaves for 8 hours a day for the next 60 years he wouldn't even finish the top 10 thousand hunters. It's not so much that he's lost interest, it's that he lost the level of hyper focus he was giving it. Also have to remember that he's only had access to the machine for a few days at this point for the first time in months.

I’m getting the feeling that a few saviours are going to get a class reshuffle, I’d say Sal may become a controller (most likely not) or some new class potentially created that lets him slip into any role. An independent class, can fill the spot on any team.

I loved the ending to Chap 22. This brings some closure to the painful scenes in the past and allows the return of an interesting character and their interactions.

One thing I’m not keen on is how Sal seems to have lost slight interest in the weaves only seeing it a means to earn Q-cred. Also is it “Challenge Crests” or “Challenger Crests”?

Okay! Where do I start? First off, great chapters Mr. Nordon. I like to think that the social aspects of a story are as important as the technical aspects such as crafting, skills development and combat scenarios. The chapters where Sal talks things out with Divinity and Barry and, rebuilds a friendship with Hannah are so important. You do a great job with that. I also like the pace of character interaction. It would be easy to have Sal offer Hannah an advanced version of her barrier gloves and correct her weave. However, you had Sal think about his feeling towards Hannah and be sympathetic to her background experiences. This makes a good story. Lastly, where the heck is the new saviours list?!!

Finally! I've read through two books just to get closure on Hannah. Everything else has been filler to be honest. It's weird how the first week Sal was all full of hormones but casual flings have been completely absent. The change has been jarring since the first book. I'm loving the start of this one though.

Hmmm Legions…. Is it in relation to the Dragoons? (Like the Roman legion?). The fact some Guilds can buy Savior spots is a pain, it cheapens the achievements of the other students. I wonder if it’s to cause resentment. I don’t think Quest can lie straight in bed hahaha always pulling a bait and switch with the students. So many trust issues incoming 😂 Also, not really a cliff hanger I think. It’s sort of rounds out the introduction to 2nd semester and now we get the meat of the story. I love how the first trilogy started with S and it looks like trilogy 2 is starting will L ….. please tell me trilogy 3 is A and trilogy 4 and P 😂 S.L.A.P 😂(I may be going stir crazy at work).

Good Chapters. Im glad Hannah and Sal are getting things sorted out, it was always kinda in the back of my mind that they should talk and clear the air. I like hannah, hope she joins the guild. Also, Chapters need more Upgrade; that's my only critique. Maybe check in on Vanessa, too.

Think you mean feet here not feat, Chapter 21. Pulling at the weaves, Sal started to optimise it as best he could. It was likely just his imagination, but the way the way the weave darted up and down in jagged triangles, made him think of a set of fangs Chapter 22 "the way" is repeated here.
