Correctus x). I am not protecting the church by any means, just what it was/is suppose to be. And I am saying that it is to be expected that people use and abuse pretty much anything convenient for selfish ambitions, including of course religion. Religion to me is manmade, and my belief is a way of life rather than something made for the personal convenience, as accepting your flaws and humbling yourself is not convenient at all. I'm not saying we should hate nothing either, I for one hate sin, and so does god actually. The opposite of love (caring for others and putting their well-being on par with - or above your own) is not hate per se, but apathy. Hatred at least requires you to care at all, but if you only care about yourself or nothing at all it quickly becomes apathy. I for one do not feel remotely responsible for atrocities commited by anyone but myself (unless there is a situation where doing nothing makes me responsible as a bystander) nor do i feel inclined to defend any commited sin, not even my own. I can try to do better, but I cannot force anyone else to. People will always use convenient ways for selfish ambitions, but using some screwed up doctrines is about as biblical as the satanic church. They can talk all they want, but their lies proceed them, and you are right to be irritated and more. Make that two things i hate: Sin, and people who dedicate their life to ruining others lifes. Yet I have hope for every single person to atone, as i believe anyone can be redeemed, but the deeper in they are, the harder they would have it to accept what they've been doing is wrong, and HOW bad some of it is. A true christian is easily differentiated: they do not claim to be better than others, they do not claim to be "good", they do not use power against others, don't usually have much power, nor want it, and they don't pray to humans. Looking at you Catholics. They would rather give money than take. Looking at you letters of "indulgence", you cannot buy redemption, only food for your fat priest, so they can "indulge". They want to share a gift, not expect others to follow their own ambitions or made up doctrines. They will not cause harm to others, but look to heal them (not claim to heal them with some sketchy balm or something creepier mind you). I am well aware of countless amounts of falsehoods within the church, all out of greed and ambitions of single men posted high in the church, and as I previously stated, rank is not suppose to be a thing in the church at all. Human ego does not handle the concept of superiority well, and this is what they got for straying from what they were told to do. I despise what it did to the way people look at us, but most importantly what it did to other peoples lifes and the way they see god. I am sorry for whatever terrible experiences they have caused you. There are countless scenarios I can imagine, none of them pretty. But perhaps it is not something done to you per se? Either way I can see you care. I do, too. THIS IS NOT MY CHURCH. We are scattered and broken, not many of us can usually be found in one place. It is funny to be a german christian, as people sometimes antagonize you for what false christians did, and sometimes for what your people did before you were born, even though you have the same god the jews have, and your great grandpa among many good people risked their lifes to hide them and get them out of germany. Same mistake, different cause. Heh...^^

2023-03-16 07:35:55 +0000 UTCWow, that's a lot to tackle xD Sure love thy (Neighbor), not thy enemy, actually, there are actually parts of the bible that teach us to not love the enemy or the injustice he causes, I personally don't hate anyone myself, I just don't love everyone either, but that's just me ^_^ The crusades were in the name of religion, namely Christianity, specifically to spread the influence of the belief system and increase religious power, mainly encouraged by Pope Urban II at Clermont-Ferrand in November 1095, to rid the land of Muslim influence~ War is a human thing, yes, but we can't ignore the motivation behind the crusades themself. The (Creator) source is not alien of course, they're the creator of all, alien, human, spirit, etc. The argument you're giving isn't very strong, however, I do see the point you're trying to make, and you have described the contradictions of the church by popes, etc, which is a start. But instead of loving all creation, understanding that all creation is necessary for the movement of all there is is the better alternative, I agree we should (Hate) nothing, but I believe we shouldn't (Love) everything either. I would urge you to do more research on the church like I'm doing, I have given you links to start your journey with, I don't mean to shake your belief, but just give you the rundown on what your central church has been doing for 1200 years, and are still doing today, it's sad to see the doctrine taught is to love thy neighbor, yet those who act as main representatives of the doctrine do anything but.

Anyone who disregards this can claim whatever they want, they are but words without deeds and should not be trusted. The crusades were a defensive measure that got out of hand later. Waging war has been human, not just by religion, there were endless wars for territory, resources, freedom or simple genocide of what people did not understand and were afraid of. The principle of spiritual leaders (decans popes pastors etc.) is antibiblical in itself, as the church is suppose to be but brothers and sisters and god said to not call anyone father (in a spiritual sense) but him. The trinitied creator is not an alien, anything within this realm cannot perceive him for He is beyond time, space or any physical law, as He created all of those as well. El i jah. Not a grain of sand, not a star in space, not a hearts desire that does not reach him. He is from the beginning of time. And that is He with a capital "H". All that mysticism, just like all myths started with a truth. And so did we. Do not confuse yourself with things, hearsay and theories you cannot ever prove or debase. If you believe in your heart that loving all of creation is the right thing to do, then you have come further than many who call themselves christians, hindus, buddhists, muslims or jews and yet haven't grasped as much. Instead spit on the worth of others and revel in their own standing becoming like the pharisees and scribes who would even end up knowingly killing their savior to save their "priviledges" and retain their high horse. One warning to all this be told: if you dont visit the doctor, you dont recognize your cold, and you do not love another, if you cannot regret fault. The truth why many flee from justice is: they reject their own part in all this. Would rather believe that they are pure, that their "goodness" would evermore endure. Melt away the glamorous facade, or the truth will one day hit you hard.

2023-03-15 08:15:12 +0000 UTCeveryone's experience is respective of their well... experience, you may have been in a division of Catholicism that was not so involved in that kinda stuff, but Vatican city, who they answer to, is corrupted to the core. Sorta like how you have many good cops and police out there but the police department itself is corrupt and criminal. But even if your experience in the Catholic church wasn't bad, your respective church and priests could still have some fucked up skeletons in their closet, you just don't know~

And the only “rituals” we practice are the 7 Sacraments. I just went through the Sacrament of Confirmation 2 years ago. It’s basically a coming of age ceremony.

I honestly don’t know how to feel right now cause recently one of the priests at my church was framed for exploitation of an elderly person, of course he was found innocent and it was discovered to be a hoax but the fact that people are trying to turn us Catholics and Christians into the villains of the world is disgusting. I love your work Miyuki, I really do, and I’m not offended, I’m just troubled. Though most of the stuff i see in the links are actions of the past and not of my time. I’m gonna look into it though cause some of these websites seem a little sketchy.
