I have a couple of my own and it's a fun way to interact with your followers, have easier access to your works, and share your updates easier as not everyone tends to pay attention to Patreon that often. Also there is always a chance Patreon can change its rules and nuke accounts for no reason. Having a Discord ensures you can reach your followers a little easier in that event.
