Daily life in the Guild: Melinda & Vanis

733 (Present Day)

Melinda escorted Vanis to the great bath house as instructed by Ellaine. The young elf girl obediently followed her while carrying a plate of food.

Vanis scanned the bath, it's granite walls, the well-decorated mosaic floors and every nook and cranny she eyed with much fascination. The elf girl sat quietly in the tub while being washed by Melinda, the silence is very much contrary to the times when she had to wash the girls from the Pleasure Hall who would tell her all sorts of stories.

"Did Ellaine design this place?" Vanis asked, finally breaking the silence.
"Yes, Miss Ellaine is responsible for the details and functionalities of the entire guild" Melinda answered.
"Hmmmm... interesting" Vanis murmured while Melinda continued scrubbing the young elf's hair.

With the slight movements and tilting of Vanis' head, Melinda could tell that the girl is inspecting the bath house's ceiling. A huge round opening is enchanted to emulate the open sky, giving the entire place a natural lighting. Vanis then extended a hand towards the light and made a clawing motion that was followed by the sounds of clinking of glass.

As it turns out, Vanis conjured a stained glass window to cover the light source.

"Look! it's more colorful now" Vanis said smiling.

'She shouldn't have been able to do that'  Melinda thought to herself. She knows enough about Ellaine's magic to know that any alterations to this place can only be done by Ellaine herself, after all the guild is just a slightly modified wizard's tower.

Melinda did not let those thoughts distract her from the task at hand, she gave Vanis a good and thorough rinse and then she opened one of the cabinets to get a towel to dry her with. However when she returned, the young elf girl is gone.
