Corpse collectors
Added 2024-05-25 02:43:21 +0000 UTCWhen the current proprietor took over the guild several years ago, profits immediately plummet due to various reasons, however one of the things that prevented the guild from going under is corpse collection.
Collecting corpses worked two ways, either the guild will take on missions for retrieval of missing persons or simply finding dead bodies - then looting them for items and gold and then returning them to West Marsh and collect gold when relatives claim the cadaver.
Yet the proprietor still found a way to exploit the corpse collection business. He would have the dead resurrected and then he gives them an offer.
Proprietor: "This can go one of two ways, you either work for me until you can pay up the cost of resurrection with interest, or we could kill you and put you back to your peaceful rest"
Of course nearly all of them chose to have a second chance at life, the connections and profit made from serving the proprietor more than make up for the malpractice. Most of these risen dead still work at the guild.
After all it is no secret that when it comes to making gold, the proprietor's morals become disconcertingly vague.
