Update on Social Media Blackout

Hi Patrons

When the concept for a social media blackout was announced over the weekend my first instinct was that I must join in and that stance hasn't changed.

What I didn't consider in my thinking was that YouTube is also 'social media' content as people do of course have the ability to comment. With that in mind there will be no deadline stream this week on Friday as this would fall within the Blackout period.

Instead the Deadline Stream will be brought forward 24 hours to Thursday 530pm (UK) time.

As stated previously we will record a Podcast on Monday about discrimination in football and will make a decision over the weekend whether we release the audio during the day on Monday or wait until the Blackout has ended. The YouTube video will Premiere at 1am (UK) on Tuesday.

I will be active on our Slack channels during the Blackout period.
