2021-07-11 12:54:11 +0000 UTCI am not a "slack man" but I thought I could give a possible scenario on why some scousers don't support England. I went to a posh Cathodic school in Crosby called St Mary's College, run by Christian Brothers. I was the only one in my class without an Irish Surname. My teachers spent a large portion of their time telling me how the IRA were freedom fighters and how bad the English were to the Irish. Some idiots (13 years old) took this on in later life and an inborne hatred of the English developed in some. Such a shame. Funny how it sticks with me 53 years on. I live in South Africa and similar trending continues in terms of roots and culture. This is only my take on it.
