2023-03-22 14:50:53 +0000 UTCre: James's suggestion that a PL team could buy a Scottish club, I know that smaller ones (e.g. Livingston) would be quite open to it. I think the main reason it hasn't happened yet is that a Scottish club wouldn't provide the advantages that Belgian or Portuguese clubs do in terms of getting non-European players into the country. That's because they operate under the same immigration laws as the English clubs, although the SFA are more generous than the FA in giving out exemptions.
