💰Could Going To Football Ever Be Free? | Money in Football

German Second Division side Fortuna Dusseldorf had over 50,000 fans for their game at the weekend, and none of them paid for entry. It's part of a trial with a view to making all games FREE for spectators in 5 years.

Is this a clever promo aimed at attracting interest or is the plan legit? And how would they do it?

And could a club in England ever follow Fortuna's lead.

And Suj wants to start the Pod by talking about West Ham's win last night.

Your right about the pricing of tickets for the Westham game and attracting the kids to watch more football. Whilst my son and step diaghter are quite into westham anyway, both of them said it was the best game they've seen and both want season tickets next year. I quickly reminded them that not every game will be like that lol. However goes to show that if you can give kids the chance to visit for a cheaper price they will be hooked on it and that creates a legacy for future generations. Also - if the ticket were say £30-40 for Kids last night which is the minimum price for a league game for kids, I wouldn't of taken either of them, so they wouldn't of experienced it.
