Update for the week ending on 08-15-25

Writing Stuff

This week was a regular week writing wise. Three chapters for Mind your Step, Three, no, sorry, four chapters for The Technician’s Fight, one session resulted in a chapter on the shorter side, with plenty of time left, so I fit a second chapter in. The Tourists and Harker got a chapter each.

For Harker, I realized that having only the Selection Period for where I sort of introduce the principal PoVs didn’t work. Some were selection, but some, like Colby’s chapter clearly not. And I realized that I had to chapter for the same character(s) Patrick is addressed with Damian arranging for his, and Pamela’s admission at Harker, but there’s also a chapter introducing him directly, ending with him looking over the letter of admission, and I realized those were the needed divisions. The Selection Period, and the Admission Letter.

Beyond meaning I have to move chapters around, it means I now have actual new stuff to write. Colby needs an entry in the selection process, I know what it will be. The Orrs need to receive their admission letters, and that one’s kind of important, I realized, since they aren’t expecting it, and while they will end up attending, I am curious what their response will be.

There will be some characters in these sections that don’t quite fit the ‘mold’ but I want to include them, so I’ll see what happens.

Writing Related Stuff.

I’m progressing through Stepping Up, with plans for releasing it on KU on the first of March.

The three chapters I wrote last week for The Technician’s fight, as well ans those for Harker, and one for Going Home, were edited and have been scheduled to post on Patreon, and Ream Story for The Technician’s fight.

I’m ever so slowly getting used to the new keyboard, with further plans to streamline it. The layout is effective, and I’m expecting that once I’ve recreated the thumb cluster I’m used to, things will be much better. After that It will be about finding the correct positioning for the whole to be comfortable.

That’s basically it.

Fairly uneventful week this time.
